If you cut them up small enough you're correct.

Cutting the counter top down. Didn't put a dust sheet on the floor and sprayed contact adhesive all over it. Our lass wasn't best pleased <laugh> Compress_20230708_161845_5623.jpg

Trapped the cable from the fridge freezer between the worktop and wall. Properly wedged it. Was ****in painful watching it come apart as I released it. :emoticon-0121-angry

I've cut them tops before, many years ago, hated doing it, but never had a disaster like that, I feel your pain.

I'm just digging the hole, filling it back in and making the drive good.
Initially Northumbrian Water wouldn't touch it as its on private property.
Managed to negotiate with them to just do the repair for £100.
Getting the professionals in to do the important bit.
Not surprised these pipes leak on a regular basis, only 400mm down from the original ground level and surrounded by bricks and rubble.
    ****in cowboys.

I did wonder if it was covered on your buildings insurance, but as you'd already dug the hole I thought best not to ask. <laugh>

Checked that. Building insurance only covers accidental damage. I was like so I've gotta dig the hole to see if it was accidentally damaged five feet under my drive? So I'm not covered then? Nope.
