Don't worry, the excitement starts on Sunday when the flight trackers follow the path of a half filled plane on its way to Turkey.
Think the difference this year will be that we've got a manager in who knows what he wants and will be working with Acun to make it happen rather than only having different ways of saying yes as his opinion. Always felt with shota he was: A) vastly underqualified and the squad knew it B) basically willing to just let Acun get whoever he wanted in and he'd try and make it work I think with Rosie there's a bit more respect for the manager position all round and he'll have a say in a lot more behind the scenes without letting Acun just play 'let's make a soccer team' (fantastic game)
How was Shota under qualified? I doubt he was willing more acun just didn’t listen And he’s learned the lesson Hopefully
Letting Oscar go is a fantastic move because it only happens if LR has made it clear that he won't be his first choice striker. We can't afford to have a high earner sat on the bench and whatever transfer value he does have also evaporates by sitting on the bench.
I actually don't mind as I don't want us to be heavily relying on the owner to balance the books every year. It's puts us in a precarious position if he's not longer able to or no longer wants too
If we can get anything like his estimated transfermarkt value at 5m for a free transfer a year ago then it's difficult to argue with the business aspect. But we still have to get value when reinvesting the profit, obviously.
