The Ashes

On Sky they are talking about the Women’s Ashes series starting tomorrow. So, exactly which ‘ashes’ are these that they are talking about?

I know the story about where the ‘ashes’ for the men’s series came from. Can’t say that I can say the same about the women’s ashes.

Looks like today is one of those 'watch Steve Smith bat all day' sessions. Depressingly familiar.

As if the transfer window didn't already feel slow enough, this rubbish just adds to the pain. It's like life is in slow motion.

Apart from at football, darts, snooker, boxing, athletics, and we keep beating them at rugby union when it matters.

 

So the trick is get everyone out so Smith has no one to bat with….

 

So you know they're superior at cricket.

 

But you're not impressed with any aussie superiority at cricket as you don't rate the game. So what you banging on about?

 

Mate, I'm an England cricket fan. There is no mental anguish you can put me through that hasn't been inflicted on me by our Test side over the years.
