Good Morning. It's Wednesday 28th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Auf Wiedersehen Koch Robin Koch has agreed personal terms with Eintracht Frankfurt, and will head off to the Bundesliga on loan, seeing out the final twelve months of his contract, after which he'll be a free agent. The 26yo is desperate to get back into the German national side, and see's a return to his homeland as being the perfect opportunity to put himself in the shop window. It has been reported that after much negotiation, Die Adler (the Eagles) have agreed to pay Leeds an undisclosed loan fee, though it won't come close to his true value, which is around £12m). please log in to view this image Leeds plotting capture of Liverpool defender Leeds want to sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips as a replacement for Robin Koch, who heads out to Eintracht Frankfurt, having just agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga outfit. The 26yo centre-back joined the red side of Merseyside back in 2016, from Bolton. He rose through their academy ranks, making 19 senior appearances, and enjoyed successful loan spells with Stuttgart and Bournemouth during his stay. He's a good tackler, comfortable on the ball, and good with his head. At 6ft 3', he (and Cressy, also 6ft 3') would add some much needed aerial dominance to the Leeds squad. Liverpool value their asset at around £10m, but Leeds don't want to pay much more than £6m. With two years left on his contract, Liverpool are keen to sell, before his contract runs down. Leeds are believed to be after Phillips regardless of who their head coach will be, but it's worth taking note that Daniel Farke tried to sign him, during his spell at Norwich City. please log in to view this image Perkins and Joffy tipped for loan moves Sonny Perkins and Joe Gelhardt have been tipped to spend next season out on loan with fellow Championship clubs. Play off Semi Finalists Sunderland are keen to take Joffy back on loan. The 21yo made twenty appearances for the Black cats last term, netting three times, and providing as many assists. They have been busy this Summer, already completing the signings of Jenson Seelt from PSV as well as Luis 'Hemir' Semedo, Nectar Triantis and Jobe Bellingham. Various media outlets report that Perkins is also very much in demand. Blackburn, Birmingham and Sunderland (again) have already inquired about taking the England U19 hit-man on loan; though much will hinge on whether Leeds can acquire the services of Manchester Utd winger Amad Diallo, who has been linked to to a loan move to Elland Road this Summer. The Ivorian Coast International , scored 14 times last season, and provided three assists, whilst on-loan with the Black Cats last season. He's quick, comfortable with both feet, and technically gifted. Manchester Utd paid £21.5m plus add-ons (believed to be totaling £35m) for the exciting 20yo. please log in to view this image Sevilla and Everton fight over Rodrigo Spanish International Rodrigo is set to leave Elland Road in the next few days, though his destination is still up for debate. It was reported on Monday that the 32yo had agreed personal terms at Sevilla, yet Everton may have hijacked the deal. Wherever he goes, it will be a season-long loan, after which time he'll be a free agent. Leeds will be loathed to see him go, especially after hitting some form last season, netting 15 times, in all competitions. please log in to view this image
Morning all This one year loan deal stuff is utter nonsense, an idiotic clause but it is what it is, we can’t change it. I’m shocked at Perkins going out on loan, I can only assume there are plans for Rutter Rodrigo would have spent half the season injured and a quarter sulking so I’m probably one of the few who doesn’t care the he is off. Overpaid and achieved two relegation battles and mid table wilderness, he’ll soon be forgotten
I think it probably makes sense for Perkins to go on loan since we have Matteo Joseph too. This way they can both get plenty of minutes next season. That is assuming we sign another striker. Knowing us we'll end up sticking with Bamford all season while Perkins bangs them in elsewhere.
Hmmm.... Everton, missed relegation again by a whisker or Seville in a champions league campaign now let me think!!! if Blackburn/Sunderland who both had good seasons last time out want perky and joff why wouldn't we consider the option of frigging keeping them and perhaps utilising them ourselves over the long slog of the championship....bamford will have already claimed his personal treatment table and won't be happy if he has to roll off it and be told he's got to go over the white line
There's obviously some sort of problem regarding the takeover. What if the Americans aren't happy with the loan situations. It was speculated that Leeds were expecting to recouped up to £120m in transfer fees, but with players like Koch and Rodrigo leaving for only paltry loan fees, and many more expected to exploit the loan loophole, that figure is likely to be seriously depleted.
So far Arsenal have spent £170m on 2 players but does that mean they will win the league? NO and Man City pulled out of the Rice deal because they refused to match the £105m Arsenal bid. City will win the title again and so far have only spent £25m and lets not forget that last season City made a profit on their transfer dealings of £56m in other words they sold more which allowed them to bring in Phillips etc for free in reality. Buy quality at good prices, nature that quality and sell some of it on for profit and keep adding quality. Seems we do the reverse
For two decades we've been the model of how not to run a football club. Has to change sometime you'd imagine
If I understand this **** show correctly Radrizzani is still the owner of Leeds United Just putting it out there
This is surely something they would have known about before though. I can see them telling Radz that they're not going to include those players in the value of the club since they can leave for free. In fact I hope they did, but they would have known about all that before they agreed a deal.
Sampdoria officially dont have an owner but not stopped Radz splashing out on bringing in Pirlo. It will be months before the Italian system confirms him as owner but they have already agreed the deal and allowed them to register to play in Seria B next season. Half the Leeds board have already passed Prem League guidelines so not sure what the big deal is with the EFL. 49ers have been involved in all transfer and contract dealings for months even though have fallen out a few times about Harrison, Cresswell, CDK etc…..
