Must say that I love the posts saying it's "only" £750k. It's roughly the entire gate receipts from one of next season's matches. Hardly the kind of cash I find down the back of our sofa Vin
However it is also 1/25th of a Paul Onuachu. I get it’s expensive, but on something as immensely important as this…
The contract would have been drawn up when Martin joined them. This is more like an insurance policy for your painting as opposed to a sale ticket. As a decent championship side then logically if Martin was going to leave them before the end of his contract, then it would have been up to a premier league side. What’s the advantage to making his compensation cheaper for a championship side? Wouldn’t you want your rivals to pay the going rate, especially trying to pinch a manager you rate. It’s a very odd stipulation.
Fair enough, I thought it was a dig, apologies (I get sensitive to digs with some of our 'fans' always seeming to look for an opportunity)
That’s fine SSM . I’m a pessimist at the best of times , I fully understand that people may have seen it as a dig .
Well, getting his coaching team in seems to have been quick Let’s hope getting the Swans players he wants is similar By all accounts, especially Grimes
In really pleased we have this organised prior to tomorrow when everyone arrives again. Having a good pre-season from day 1 and setting the foundations Will be key. I'm excited now.
Wasn't one of the driving forces behind buying Bazunu was that he was comfortable on the ball and had good distribution? Coming from Man City, I would expect that these are core elements of all of their youngsters. From what I saw last season, he certainly didn't struggle with these attributes. I think we might be having a bit of a sweeper keeper this season
