As a decent championship side then logically if Martin was going to leave them before the end of his contract, then it would have been up to a premier league side. What’s the advantage to making his compensation cheaper for a championship side? Wouldn’t you want your rivals to pay the going rate, especially trying to pinch a manager you rate. It’s a very odd stipulation.

Wasn't one of the driving forces behind buying Bazunu was that he was comfortable on the ball and had good distribution? Coming from Man City, I would expect that these are core elements of all of their youngsters. From what I saw last season, he certainly didn't struggle with these attributes.
