    Pre-season starts today!

It feels like every year we say "it would have been nice to get a signing in before pre-season starts but we have to be patient".

Well, erm. This is awesome :D

Pre-season photos from the club today will be more interesting regarding who's NOT there than is there today.

Delighted with our player transactions so far. What a different club we have become under KLD and KS.....long may it continue.
Love the way we've addressed the centre back positions....definate weakness last season.Further up the pitch, Jobe and Hemir look to be quality.
Still lots of unanswered questions about this squad readiness, mainly focussing on the injuries, but also the 2 or 3 positions where we need to add.
However, got the feeling we're on it,being proactive, still much business to be done.....not even end of June yet.
Not been so optimistic before the start of season for many a year.

Night and Day from previous seasons. I remember pre-season not that long ago where they had to fly a load of the u23s in because we didn't have enough players.
This season, we've released 1 player and signed 4. More to come, a strong squad already established, it's so refreshing

Agree with you re seeing who is and isn't there today. Assume Evans, Alese and Stewart won't be, but Batth, Ballard, Embo, Cirkin etc all will be

I am looking forward to seeing Embo play again. I have a feeling under Mowbray he might really flourish. He is a bit of a forgotten man in amongst all the new lads but he could still be a key player for us for me.

I like Embleton. Underrated player. Two footed as well and can play a few different positions.

I agree I think Embleton could fill a number of positions, I’m interested to see how he recovers and progresses with this coaching team.

Hopefully he gets a good pre-season in and is firing on all cylinders.

Hes another of of our midfielders that i think suits a 3 man midfield as one of the "8's" with a DM behind, i cant wait to see how they all fit together in the team

Agreed. Popped up with some crucial goals over the last few seasons, Oxford away in the last minute and then Wembley spring to mind

If only all of our “fans” felt that way. Twitter idiots slagging the club off for a Bellingham photo shoot because they wanted an announcement they didn’t know was happening! We truly have some horrific fans! Luckily they are a minority

Me too. Just the model we’re working with. Hopefully. If he is sold, it’s at a premium

If Soutar went from Stoke for £18 million in the January window then Ballard is worth an awful lot more, especially with his contract having a decent amount of time to run.

Personally i cant see him going this summer

I hope he's one of those who've been offered new terms. I think he's mint. Ahead of his time as well.

West Ham being a London club may be tempting for him?

Peterborough rejected a £7.5m bid for Ronnie Edwards from one of the prem teams, wonder if it’s West Ham and they’ve turned their attention to Ballard. I’d let him go for £15m :emoticon-0102-bigsm
