Odd rumour I spotted somewhere: one Italian source (TBH can't remember which, but let's say no higher than Tier 3) claimed that because Inter won't be signing Vicario due to a slight case of him joining us, they'll be looking to replace Andre Onana with Hugo Certainly would not begrudge Hugo a couple of years in Serie A to run down the clock

This could be a hugely important deal and I hope it goes through. He has had his fair share of injury problems and also comes across as a bit of a knobhead, but we've been crying out for a player of this profile since Eriksen left. He doesn't have the same ability with long balls but it is the threading the middle and final thirds that is so important. Until now we've been overly reliant on useless wing-backs and a combo of Kane and Bentancur to do this, so it all fell on Kane's shoulders after the latter got injured. New GK, Maddison and a new CB and that's a very satisfactory window imo, IF we shift at least 5-6 in the opposite direction.
