Sheepskin coats? We couldn’t afford enough wool to knit a jumper.

£5 deposit then £1 a week from Burtons, top of Whitefriagate. Took me about four years to pay it off. The repair to the rip cost me £75. But some of us were smart lads in those days.

The first leather coat I bought, and that was expensive was nicked out of my hallway. I'd wore it once, and some twat sneaked in through the unlocked kitchen door whilst we were watching telly, nicked my leather coat off the coat rack, a box of tea bags out of the kitchen and as many tins of soup and baked beans as they could carry. Like an idoit I spent hours that week sat in Bransholme Centre thinking I would spot the twat wearing it.

In 1971, it was less than £75 to buy a sheepskin coat, never mind repair one.

Well it was knock off central. I did something similar when we got burgled in the late 80's. Lived on the Garths. I spent half a day wondering around hoping to hear someone say 'psssttt' in my shell-like. I hear similar things about Walton Street market, but not having been there, I've no idea it fit deserves that tag.

That was the place I bought my first leather coat in 1974 on similar terms. First City game after was the win against Man
    Utd.Rather unwisely I decided to wear it.<laugh>

Who said it was 1971? You cannot wait to jump in two footed can you?

Apologies, it hadn't occurred to me that you might have ripped a jacket in 1975 and then had it repaired twenty years later. <ok>

Ask him the half time score at his lad’s favourite away game at the Hawthorns and how the teams came out to a half empty stadium as we were 2-0 up.<laugh>

You post this nearly as often as you tell us how many ****ing season tickets Norwich have sold. <doh>

Only joking, it's nowhere near as often.

Norwich have sold out in middle of May. Which is more accurate than many of your recollections.

One recollection and not one single person on here (other than you) gives a flying **** about Norwich's season ticket sales. <doh>

I wasn’t the one who brought Norwich up in the first place. You were going to take junior for a ground tick but didn’t recollect that you had taken him twice.

SydneyTiger is further proof that only ****ers put people on ignore. Despite the pair of them being twats like to give their ill informed views on everything they can’t abide someone having a different opinion. or disagreeing with them.
