Tell me about it, my fastest lap so far has been a 1:42.0 and the fastest lap of the race has been a 1:36.3.
Not again, running comfortable 4th and boxed on the second till last lap because tyres, 3rd race in a row i've made an unplanned pit stop, its a cruel game I tell you lol
After failing (again) to land a new driver, I wasn't expecting much in this one. Qualified 16th, and ran a 2 stopper, slowly making a few places. My driver made 2 places on the last lap though to steal me 7th place, so thats 2 points I never expected. Currently 3rd in the championship, and my league already looks to have a runaway top 2. I've found a new driver I'd really like to land, currently with no offers, so fingers crossed I can put a bid in monday and get him! Although I've just noticed Singapore will be a wet one, favouring my current driver, oh the decisions!
12th place finish for me. Stopped on lap 54(!) for fuel when in 9th place. Happy with my project driver though. He's only got OA 0f 64 at the mo so he's showing potential. Now for me to sort out my mistakes to give him more of a chance!
DHCanary 7th place is preety good considering ur talent excceds all other attributes, u have a tough decision i say cozx ur driver aint bad and with some training and car building he could be fast in second half of the season and save a tonne of money by not buying a driver, on the other hand u could get a driver u kno will be good straight away but loose a bit of money, money that u may need if u promote. Mifune amatuetr they say is either tough or a bit of a breeze, it all comes down to ur rookie season, if u have a good driver in rookie, did well and promoted with good car and money u could easily finish in top half and maybe score some points towards the end of season as most drivers will have theyr cars smokin. iv checked managers drivers who they qualified with and most of them where pretty average, so so the probably had other managers who where that bad that they managed to promote and then when go to amatuer they realise that a good driver from the start would have meant better finishes in amatuer, stamina seems to be the difference in amatuer by quite a bit. i was lucky to get my race setup as i had problems with my internet but qualified 2nd. i went for a 2 stopper on softs with 231 litres (77+77+77) was 3rd till i pitted on last lap lol but still finished 4th which im happy about, im sitting in 2nd on the standings so i feel all i have to do is just cosolodate my races and make sure i keep finishing strong. most of the people in my group have level 2 cars and i havnt even touched my car parts so ill just be saqving money for amatuer slowly building my car and i have a good driver to back it up. fingers crossed. next one will be wet but could be dry also, my driver seems both good in the wet and in dry. also the extra softs seemed to be the prime tyres as they were 2 seconds a lap faster than me, not sure wheather that has to do with the grip levels.
I am just trying to save money so that in the last part of the season I am still able to repair/update my car which could give me a stronger finish to the season. I am happy with my driver, I think he will do well, I just need to keep to training him so his weight goes down and his stamina increases.
Speaking of wear, currently in the mid-high 60's on most parts, gonna run with 0 risks to squeeze every last bit of juice. Looking back Barhain was a killer on wear despite being a wet one. Next race I'm thinking/hoping the conditions wont change, the developers seem to love these mixed conditions forecasts this season.
So what are people thinking for strategy? I think I might just try a two stopper on the rain tyes and hope it rains throughout the race.
Ive had an idea with setups, let me know what you think http://www.not606.com/group.php?gmid=1669&do=discuss#gmessage1669
hey guys, so i dont think tyres will last for a 1 stopper as the weather is hot and tyre deg is high. on top of that viewing past data it looks like it may stop raining for a bit then start again possibbly during first stint, im goin for a 2 stopper so that incase it does stop raining i wont be stopping for dry tyres and the extra percentage of tyre wear shoulsd carry me through for a 2 stopper, i calculated around 185 litres of fuel but will be using 200 for safety incase the dry weather does come out, again i just wanna finish strong without any problems so i think this strategy is a safe one. well........hopefully lol.
My guy is having a 'storming' drive so far; started 24th and has battled his way up to 12th place consistently lapping in the top 12. I just hope it stays wet throughout the entire race. Although I think I have put too much fuel in if it stays wet the entire race.
Horrible race for me. Bad qualifying left me 11th on the grid, and by the end of the first lap dropped to 13th. From then on, I was stuck behind 12th place until pitting on lap 42 (later than planned), where I jumped him in the pits, as we pitted together. From then on I was much faster, but the damage was done and I finished 12th. I think going with 0 risk for overtaking really cost me, I should have been more ambitious. Thankfully, 4th place in the league (I'm third) crashed out on lap 1, and 5th failed to score, so I don't think it'll have too great an impact on league position. Definitely got a runaway leader, he's won all 3 races by a huge margin.
Dissapointing race; started 24th and worked my way up to 6th before I pitted (too late) and came back out into 7th, but then my driver made a mistake and I fell down to 12th and eventually finished 11th. So close to scoring my first points.
another shocker driver has good pace in qualifying but then starts lapping 2 seconds of the leaders once the race begins. With 180 talent I'm a bit surprised, learn something new each race
Bad race for me, I was even hope to have a problem at one stadge just to get it over with. Started 27th, finished 33rd. Was lapping very slowly all race long. I'm hoping for the rest of the races remain dry
I used the race as a tyre test for my rain tyres. My driver is down on pace in the rain so I loaded up with fuel to see how long the tyres would last. Got 43 laps out of them so not bad.
