Yeah he’s a very decent player, no debate about that for me. Should have a lot of interest if we stick him up for sale. I’d say he’s the best player we can afford to lose and should fetch a solid fee.
Honestly wasn't expecting this one, as he had all the signs of somebody being released after he aged out of the U21s
No no please, I insist, by all means go ahead and fulfill your dream. Your single PL goal this season in a game we lost 20 seconds later has more than established you as a club legend, worthy of a statue and a place in our Hall of Fame. Madrid, you are truly blessed to be receiving such a generational talent.
But you would be be playing in : 1. the same colour kit 2. the CL 3. more clement weather "I have to prove why they bought me for a high price.” If Madrid buy you, consider that a QED.
He turns 21 in October, and given his lack of loans he certainly looked set for the Retain/Release list ...which we still haven't issued, even though it's usually published in the first week of June
So a quick breakdown: they're claiming that instead of paying the full €35m for Deki in one go, the plan is to structure the payments so Juve get a good slug of cash upfront but a chunk of the fee is spread out Considering we have £70m of deferred fees to pay this summer for Deki or Porro, to a point it makes sense to try and get some breathing room into our budget...but the main takeaway is how we had the opportunity to sign Deki outright for £30m last summer with CL cash in the coffers, so even with turning Cuti's loan into a signing on last summer's docket why didn't we do it then?
Ben Jacobs has said we’re one of the clubs to keep an eye on over Bristol’s Alex Scott. Apparently he also said on a podcast last night that FC Lorient are interested in Winks.
Kyle Walker is reportedly set to leave The Sheikh Mansour Team this summer Naturally, our Twitter fanbase are Kleenex in anticipation...
Supposedly a £30m price tag. He's one of the most talented prospects in the country but that's still a mental amount to spend on someone who hasn't kicked a ball in the PL. Too great a risk imo. There are plenty of talented youngsters further afield who can be purchased for relative pittance and developed into £30m+ within a few years. I refer you to half of Brighton's first team for further reference.
19 years old with 80+ Championship appearances and about 7 clubs interested, English and has HG tax, £30m is probably the going rate nowadays. I’d be asking for around that if I were in Bristol’s position to be fair.
In that case what it boils down to is how the fee is broken down £30m upfront is clearly bonkers Similarly, £15m upfront and £15m in installments is also bonkers Then again, £10m upfront with £20m in addons is also clearly bonkers
Last time I checked, peasants are clubs who can't buy players because they're at 95% of their FFP allowance Go on, dum-dum, take a wild guess which club that would be...?
You make a good point. It can sometimes pay off but it is fleetingly rare. Dortmund have a proven track record for spotting and developing young talent. We do not. Which is why I would hesitate before committing such a sum for what is a huge risk. Many a player has looked like a Balon d'Or contender in the Championship before stumbling in the PL. One such example currently plays lwb for Spurs.
