    no - the countries location doesn’t matter post brexit. It’s all to do with the world ranking, how many internationals they’ve played, how many first team games in leagues (with better leagues ranked higher). The A-league is the worst possible ranked league.

    like I say tho - the club are clearly confident. I just don’t understand it :D

    Just thinking out loud
    Would the new trade agreement with Australia not impact the work permit?
    IIRC there was some scope for easier movement between UK and Australia.

    Then again I might be totally wrong.

    I read up on this and it doesn’t affect visa applications for sporting professionals. So the rules will remain the same as they always were I guess (no idea what they are like!)
