If Whiteley had actually done what he's paid to do we wouldn't be losing this game. But unfortunately he's a waste of space right now.
Not really. We need our middle order big hitters to start earning their money. Howell will be a welcome addition but we haven't massively missed him yet.
I swear we used up all our run-outs vs Sussex. That's about the 5th one in a row we've missed since that game.
If Prest and Howell can get themselves back at some point, then having them replace Whiteley and, either Crane or Turner, should really help us. It's probably only four of today's team (maybe even just three) who will be playing the four day game next week, so I wonder if the rest of the side will get a week off, or if we've arranged a t20 friendly or two. Currie, Donald, Organ and a young batter for Dawson, Fuller, Weatherley, and Vince: it would still be a pretty strong side for 2nd XI standards.
As always it keeps changing and depends upon which source you use. At least it will have a good start.
Hope Kohli can score a double century tomorrow and earn India an unlikely victory. The guy certainly owes India a big score as they have kept faith with him during this extended period of having a lean time with the bat in test cricket!
Yeah, because no side generally needs two spinners in April and May. So leaving out the non-batting leggie was easy then. Crane hardly played for us either. But if Lancs thought this pitch was going to turn, they wouldn't have left him out, and they wouldn't have chosen to bowl first.
