It's so much more fun watching them win this than any of the big heads picking up a cup. Just think what the party will be like when we with the Champions League next year though!
I know what you mean i said when the takeover happened our first trophy will be the league title as we can't win one off cup finals unfortunately.
We could if we went out and got ourselves a ruthless trophy winning manager. Howe is fine for now, because I just genuinely have no idea who we would even go after if we lost him (some want him to take the England job.)
The league cup final was disappointing, we didn't turn up. It just piles more pressure onto the next final we get to, as well as Howe is doing, if we lose the next final we get to questions will be asked.
Calm down guys. We are a much better team than West Ham already + we've got billions and billions so our time will come
Well I mean they might they'll have a chance at least but it's also possible they keep losing in the latter rounds and finals as usual for another 60 years. I gave up on the idea of winning trophies decades ago and now I just hate other unsuccessful clubs and hope they don't win anything either.
Whereas in 98 and 99, when we went into the FA Cup finals huge underdogs, and were easily beaten, I genuinely thought we could beat Man U this time, but it just had to coincide with our **** spell in the season, before we got back on track and comfortably beat them in the league. This was our big chance cos City weren't focused on the league cup this year, can't see us getting another chance like that for a while. Gah.
Thing with top 4 is that in theory it generates more money, and helps you attracts a better standard of player. Those players then make you more competitive and give you better depth to compete for trophies. Obviously doesn’t always work like that (see spurs) but the finances involved have made CL more important than a LC or FAC unfortunately.
Newcastle need to forget about winning trophies and just enjoy football matches. Whatever will be will be.
I doubt it ... remember newcastle got beaten by Sheffield Wednesday. Whether we like to admit it or not newcastle always were the pioneers of Spursy.
