Rapha has been pretty good everywhere until he got to a broken Everton. Whilst we are all going on about how good Gerrard would or wouldn’t be …… Valencia 55% win ratio Liverpool 56% Inter Milan 48% Chelsea 58% Napoli 53% Real Madrid 68% 2 time La Liga titles UEFA Cup title FA Cup title community Sheild fA Cup Runner Up champions League Title Champions League Runner Up UEFA Super Cup title world Club Runner Up Italian Super Cup Title fifa World Club Title Europa League Title Copa Italiana title EFL Championship title come on guys let’s stop fooking around with gambles, nobodies a DPD wannabees. Just get someone with a good CV
Don’t be naive. Everyone knew the guy at Celtic was going to Spurs before their cup final. I guess we would sound him out before any official approach to see if he is interested before requesting permission and paying up £2 million.
Has Marcos starting flogging his gear to you all. Wonder can he ship over here. Given the managerial names being bandied about he must have top quality stuff too
Skint club like Leeds should not be paying £2m to gamble on Carlos Corberan when we can get a multi title winning coach who will demand control….. oh and he’s free
The unemployed ex saints manager. Can’t spell his name. Doubt we’ll have ever heard of whoever it turns out to be
Evening all, Just been catching up on todays debates. Two points. Everyone talks about us not having a dof. Do you think if someone with the experience of Rodgers came in they would be happy or even relish the idea of working without one or having complete control like managers of old? I can't believe Rafa has not been linked more. A top top manager with a championship title under his belt. Would be another big signing along the lines of Bielsa.
Might be available. Tell me you don’t honestly believe Rafa would be remotely interested in managing in the championship
Why not? Great challenge for him,be an hero if he got us back up, been out of work for 17 months. We're not exactly a club coming up from league 1 into the championship. Could see him taking ours or the Leicester job, no problem
Do you remember the fiasco after sacking Marsc. What was it four or five turned us down before we settled on the hopeless Javi. And we were a pl team then trying to recruit. We’re in a worse position now. Every time we go looking for a manager a host of big names get discussed and then we end up with some second or third rate lad
We don’t have the squad for him, he is basically a Conte, Mourinho type of coach (basically a better Sam Allardyce). I know that the squad will change but it would have to drastically for Rafaball.
We really don't know who turned us down only 2 as far as I recall and both with clubs they wouldn't leave and one had a £10m release clause. Another who said he wasnt approached but wouldnt leave mid season either even if he was .Personally I think a club hopeful of getting promoted is a better attraction than one looking like they're going down.
