Guessing nothing will happen for the whole of June as it's international duty for some and end of season breaks for the rest so the club will feel there's no rush to appoint anyone. The days of having Bielsa taking the U9's training during the summer will never happen again I'm afraid.
Don’t know if it’s true or not but saw on twitter (Fabrizio Romano being quoted) that the Man City FA cup win meant an additional £15 million payment to us as part of the deal for KP.
That would be if we intended doing any business before 30th June 2023 which is our end of year. You would have thought we'd be better having player sales going into next years accounts to help with the EFL Profit & Sustainability rules.
There were definite add ons in the Phillips deal for winning trophies, particularly the Champions League. £15 million seems alot just for an FA Cup. Sounds about right for the Treble though. The same with Raphinha where the Champions League was the biggest payout for us.
Having a couple of days in Paris Lancashire it's been glorious here. Come on guys what will be will be. Time to dust off for the championship which is one of the most competitive and best supported league in the world.
Good for you ****ey - far too much hand-wringing on here. Get stuck into the reality of the situation - you are where you are and as far as we're concerned, we're lucky to be still where we are. Just glad we could hang on in there last season - wouldn't want to miss the Championship action which is probably as unpredictable as the Prem is the opposite. See ya next season.
I’ve checked fabrizios timeline Lol and can’t find it anywhere. Seems a ridiculous bonus for an FA cup
Hassenhutl was unlucky to get the chop at Southampton - kept them competitive on a shoestring previously. Our current squad, whatever remains of it, is built for the red bull style. Given how much of the vitriol at marsch was aimed at his formation/style of play though, I’m surprised to see people entertaining the idea of a red bull coach
Sounds about right for Leeds.. Leeds eyeing move for Carlos Carvalhal The Sun claims that Carvalhal has admirers inside Elland Road. The 57-year-old could actually be relegated this weekend with Celta Vigo. They must get a result against champions Barcelona to ensure their safety.
Being critical of Marsche's style wasn't even close to being vitriolic about it unless I'm mistaken. The problem as most of us saw it was how vunerable we were to the switch of play plus the counter attack and as we went on a long winless run I'd say they were fair observations. It was Jesse's job to find solutions which unfortunately he failed to do otherside he's still be in the job. Also pretty sure most posters would agree that whilst we failed win enough games we were still competitive in most them and the hope was that somehow our fortunes would change. So to conclude, Marsche wasn't totally awful, he just couldn't get us to win the games we needed to win and also he lost the key game away at Forest which resulted in his sacking. Fine margins and David Moyes at West Ham walked a similar tightrope but managed a draw against us and a win at home to Everton when the chips were down.
Marsch was a disaster and most people in the media and Leeds fans say so and everyone says he should have gone before the World Cup. Milky will never agree but hey ho
He was very limited. But in fairness so was the squad. It’s not as if he had a world class squad at his disposal. In fact they got worse with every manager. A well known ex Leeds player was asked a few weeks back if new manager, javi, at the time would have an impact. His reply was no chance as the players weren’t clever enough to learn from any coach. Having said that Marsch had a say in signing many of those failures
