Well the rain will at least cause some uncertainty and interest in the run up to Max getting pole.

Well, Perez got very lucky and Charles out in Q1. Verstappen to get pole though. I’m expecting pole will probably be 1.11.8 something

 

Going to get an interesting grid for tomorrow here, excluding Verstappen.

Perez’s luck didn’t hold up and out of Q2. Russell out as well and hitting Hamilton damaging his front wing!

 

Surprised at Lewis only getting 5th behind Norris and Gasly.

 

McLaren seems to have made a decent step forward, happy to see Norris back near the front.

 

Yeah, thought we had an interesting development there. I wonder if that bump with Russell had any bearing on the Q3 time.

Will be interesting to see where those upgrades have put them on race pace.

 

Not that Lando getting 3rd isn’t also an interesting development!

 

I already made that transition to who I would like to win. No fun in voting for you think will win.

 

Gasly with 6 place grid penalty for impeding Verstappen and Sainz during qualifying

 

One problem with this is that other than some last/home race sympathy shifting it’s likely to be quite static race to race (and I’ll be distressed by the 8 people who put Hamilton, rather than Norris again).

Who will come second would be good I reckon, far more unpredictable?

 

Looks like we might get some rain during the race looking at the tv pictures. Hopefully Max will spin off in the wet for Fernando to steal the win…

Max managed a great start especially considering he is on Mediums and all around him on Softs!
