Fs talk about getting shafted,Broja was decent but seems to have disappeared like 20 other Chelsea players I suppose!
totally agree. If we mug off United that'll be great. Apparantly Kovacic is going to be leaving. Reports saying he wants a new challenge/us not wanting him. He's our best midfielder alongside kante, he will be a big loss
I always hear about Broja being decent. I could see he has potential (big but needs to learn to use his body) and quick. What has he actually done for everyone to be raving about him, he started strongly at Soton but went flat quickly. He had a few chances at Chelsea but didn't really do much before he got injured. Sure he could develop into something pretty decent but there hasn't been anything amazing about him when i watch him play. Similar to Tammy Abraham.
never really brought into the mount hype. He's solid enough but i wouldn't be building a team around him which i think he needs to succeed
Broja probably disappeared because he ruptured his ACL early in the season and, unsurprisingly, hasn't played since.
Ten Hag will turn Mount into world class, that's a difference here. Expect a Ballon D'or nomination within a month of him starting for us.
Being Chelsea player of the year, this season, is akin to being voted the cleverest Kardashian. Agree that he can be a good player, he certainly has the potential but he isnt gonna realise it with us, with all the turbulence in our squad and behind the scenes. Think he will end up a decent player at United. That might be going too far though. Not all that sad about him going, most of the sadness comes from him being a youth player, and its never nice to see them move on.
Never heard of him but his highlights reel is good and if Brighton were in for him that's good enough for me.
He wasn't player of the year this season, but he was player of the year you won the champions league, and the year after. All your players have been ****e this season tbh. He isn't, and never has been, bang average.
We wouldn't we build a team around him, he'll just fit into a team that is already there and be an improvement on the likes of McTominay. Who Newcastle can now have, I'll drive him there if they want. Why would we build a team around him?
I didnt say he was bang average! That was saff. He is a very good player, and when he stays injury free and is in a settled team with an organised manager, I think he will thrive. Unfortunately, we arent that team right now, and wont be for at least another couple of years. Do I want him to leave? No. But at the same time I aint that upset that he is going. He hasnt lived up to his early potential, when he burst onto the scene he was being compared to Foden, now that comparison seems laughable. I will concede that a lot of that has been due to the fact that Foden was at City with a good manager and a settled, world class squad, where as Chelsea have been a disaster of late so it hasnt been the best place for him to flourish, but at the same time Reece James, when fit, has come on leaps and bounds and Mount hasnt imo. But I DO think its a good signing for United, like I said, if he plays in a settled midfield and stays fit, he can and likely will kick on to the next level. Also, if you get Mount AND manage to sign Kane, I think United have to be second favourites for next years PL title.
Think hes the sort of player to thrive needs to be built around. Personally think his best position is where eriksen is now in the middle moving the ball on but hes been playing as an inside winger for us and i don't think his end product is good enough. I don't think he's good enough technically to make up for his physical attributes (not quick and strong enough) and i'd have eriksen over him. He's a good all rounder but i don't think thats enough to be challenging for the league. Good luck to him though, he definitely puts the effort and work rate and has been a good servant
Eriksen can't play more than 60 minutes. Hence, Mount. And no way is the team built around him when he's alongside a player of Casemiro's stature.
