One question. Why is everything about a catastrophe at Leeds when Leicester must also be having a fire sale of a lot better players than ours?
A lot of the problems at Leicester revolve around the squad value making them the highest value squad to ever be relegated, but also having the 7th highest wage bill in the prem. on top of that half the first team squad all walk away on free transfers for big cash to them. They should have sold anyone who refused to sign a new deal. Tielemens was wanted by 3 clubs all offering around £80m but he refused and now walks for nothing.
Leicester policy doesn't make sense. I'm still trying to get my head round the sale of Kasper Schmeichel to Nantes.
Leeds are actually in a great position financially. Our problem is we have issues with ownership, no DoF and no manager. We should be sorting out next seasons squad NOW. Southampton already have a manager in place. We don't even know what the 49ers intentions are for another 2 weeks when they put forward a 'proposal' to Radz. Not a concrete deal, just a proposal. Time will be our achilles heel, not money.
One thing Id like to see for the following season is get rid of all the sick notes. The championship is way more physical than the Prem and we will play more games. the likes of Forshaw, Cooper, Bamford are a must leave for me. We have carried passengers for way to long so we have to get it right. you can't call injuries but these 3 are very regular on the side lines season in season out. As on the pitch Honestly hand on heart I'd like to see a new back line. I know the Championship doesn't have the quality of the prem but none of our defenders can win first balls on set pieces in fact quite a few are just really poor in the art of defending itself it has to be reset and started again. Aaronsson is a must to go as well I know he has a release clause but if he can't do it in the prem he has no chance with the physicality of the Championship. interesting to see who want's to stay but I don't see Gnonto,Sini,Adams here even if they don't have clauses in contracts. Rodrigo as well as he's on to much money. End of the day we got relegated as the team wasn't good enough so I wouldn't be bothered to see any go. I've always had a soft spot for someone but honestly right now I have none. I honestly thought Struijk was the next best thing and my god how far he was actually out his depth. Nobody stood out for me other than Tyler Adams and maybe Sini but 100% neither will play Championship football. The club have massive decisions to make because not only have we got to compete next season in which some players we have will probably flourish but we have to think of the future my view is 70-75% of this current squad are not starting 11 Premier League footballers.
Positive news coming from Italy. Radz and Co have made progress in the Sampdoria deal and its back on. That means that the 49ers are closer to sorting the buy out of Leeds. They want Kinnear to stay until the end of next season at least. They want Genks DoF to come here.
Agree with Siddas as one of the problems we’ve had is still carrying the guys who got us promoted. Dallas may never be fit again, Ayling spends a lot of time on the treatment bench and aint that good now, Cooper may as well not been here the last 2 seasons and add Bamford to that and Forshaw will be injured again before long. Struijk has been W ank too so for me get rid. Cresswell can easily replace Cooper, Montiero could replace Cooper and Struijk.
I'm hoping Wober sticks around to take Coopers place. Cresswell alongside him. Two leaders at the heart of our defence.
Carlos Corberan being linked to us here in Spain, Could do a lot worse, bielsas 2nd, championship experience with west brom.
Aruba international midfielder Jeamirr Howell Brokken would be a fine acquisition for the squad. Will fit in quite easily
