I'm glad the players are getting a nice round of applause as they go on a lap of appreciation.

**** em (a handful excepted, perhaps)

I wonder how many teams have score 4 against Liverpool before today.

Well it seems callous not to applaud your team at the end of the season.

But on the other hand: 22/23

Tbf I wasn’t going to, but Ward-Prowse deserves the send off.

Glad Everton stayed up and Leeds went down, for selfish reasons. Easier to get to. Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Leeds, Hull, Huddersfield, Blackburn, Rotherham, Preston and one of Barnsley/Sheffield Wed. next season for me. Bonanza.!

Bottled it, but nice to go out on an unexpectedly entertaining note on a lovely day.

Need to retain Alcaraz and Sulemana for next season.

Wouldn’t waste any energy complaining about applause at the end, we were already down, it was an entertaining game and flinging the middle finger at players like Livramento, Ballard, Amo-Ameyaw, Alcaraz and Sulemana would feel counterproductive, as well as a bit daft at Walcott, Walker-Peters and Ward-Prowse on their goodbye.

It’s been a dire season and given we have been relegated it is obvious, but really an end of an era feeling about today.

I’ll regret it later I’m sure but feeling actually quite positive today…

This season probably quite a lot as we’ve been awful for most of it!

I've been all season, I've sat and watched the **** we've churned out and regularly not clapped at the final whistle. But I still stayed and clapped today. I did it for KWP, Lavia, Alcaraz, Theo and most of all for Mr Southampton JWP. By all accounts he's given so much to the club, most of which we don't see behind the scenes, trying to keep this **** show of a club in the league year after year after year surrounded by a bunch of players that give less than half a **** like he does.

A few notes from the game. Good atmosphere, Saints fans singing for the love of the club, not for the team. Which turned into singing for the team when they were actually attacking and clearly giving it a go. Too little, too late but it was better than watching another meek and gutless surender (which I did fear at 0-2) even if it means **** all in the grand scheme. Was so confused by half the stadium clapping Firmino off!? Weird!

Best decision of Selles management taking JWP off to get his massively deserved moment on his own.

On the weird sort of lap of appreciation, where they mostly just stood in the middle not sure whether to go round and clap, before eventually going round and awkwardly clapping. They did a thing where the players that are definitely leaving stood out on their own (or were pushed out by JWP). Those were Theo, Ely (**** the ****ers that boo him. He's **** as an attacking 'threat', but has ALWAYS given his all and it's not his fault he kept getting picked as one of the few attacking 'threats'), and Big Willy. Think that was it for their solo moments? I was expecting KWP, JWP and Lavia to do the same but they didn't. Presumably because they are not 100% sure they are going, or in JWPs case (think it's pretty obvious he's going after his substituion), probably he just didn't want to do it again having already had his moment with the substition. Probably a bit awkward too with the Northern singing 'One more year' throughout too when he's clearly made up his mind that this is it. Glad he got a good send off and left with a goal too. Thank you James Ward Prowse. Forever a Saint!
