Why 5th place? Thought it was top 4? Is that assuming Man City win it this year and finish top 4 next season? Or is there another reason?
Not much Man United in there either. A lot of them had very high expectations of Spurs this year though.
Because after next season the CL format is changing, and there's going to be 6 more teams or something than there is now. Depending on how teams from each country do in the previous years tournament, an extra CL place will be given to that league, and apparently England are currently top of the list so it will the Premier League who gets an extra place. Something like that, i can't explain it very well.
"The new Champions League format, which was initially revealed last year, will see the number of teams increase from 32 to 36 from the 2024-25 season. One of those extra places will go to a team in the league ranked fifth in UEFA’s national association rankings. Another will be awarded to a domestic champion that progresses through the qualifying rounds. The final two extra places will be awarded to the two highest performing countries in UEFA competitions that season." Looking at the 3 finals this season, it's surely going to be Italy and England getting the extra places.
Clutching at straws!! **** me! Their fans are such entitled pricks. Yeah, let's change the rules so LiVARpool have a chance! **** off Bin Dippers!
In the top 5 for goal scoring teams in PL and top 3 for goal difference. And all that with all those games where we couldn't score at all, despite 20+ attempts at goal per game. So we've created LOADS of chances this season, with a decent amount of possession too. But yeah, let's focus on Newcastle being negative, while crying about them spoiling our lovely game. These fools have no clue. They've gone crying off home with their ball, saying that the game is now over, meanwhile we've brought a new ball and the game is still very much on.
Their bitterness makes it even sweeter, not sure if they know that, but they can't help themselves. The new kid on the block is ****ing them all up. Rattled.
"If the case against the Cheats goes how we want it to go and harshly then that will restrict Saudi FC considerably. This should have been done in 2014 when the corrupt charlatan Infantino gave £8 million fines to the Cheats and PSG for their 1st FFP violations, he could clipped their wings but both clubs saw it as pushing the financial doping further, and Infantino used that lack of punishment for his FIFA ambitions getting votes from the ME for his FIFA run as President. PL has a chance to save Football here, if they win this case and hopefully it forces these despotic regimes out of our game when their bloodsoaked stolen oil proceeds for their sportswashing purposes will be restricted."
"PL has a chance to save Football here" I assume this is a fan of one of the clubs whilo wanted to break away to create their own safe house of a super league and in doing so deffectively destroy the current set up of football. The same clubs who have already seen the benefit of years of CL money and preferential TV rights to ensure they stay bigger than other clubs. Right, or am I wrong?
Think I read somewhere that Newcastle hit the woodwork more than any other club in the league but don't let the truth etc...
