    I will be happy when the final whistle blows and it's the end of the season. It feels strange saying that because I usually don't want it to end because it feels like a very long time between seasons.

    Its football fate isn’t it.
    Imagine if Nathan Jones had turned us down and it was him that got Luton promoted while Selles got us relegated.
    Every last one of us would be saying we should have got Nathan Jones in as our manager.
    As it is we done Luton a huge favour by appointing Jones.
    Football’s a funny old game.

    Going to visit my dad in the Royal South Hants this afternoon, which is less than a mile from the ground. Still undecided whether to go straight from the hospital to St Mary’s. Thank God the sun’s shining otherwise I might be tempted to jump in the river.

    This will be Groundhog Day for Saints fans, and we will have to re-live the 24 hours from midnight Saturday to midnight Sunday, on a perpetual loop, until we can find a way to get a different ending. But I'll still sing, and talk to the people around me, then drive home and wonder about what might have been, with a different manager/different players/different half-time entertainment.

    Oh well, August isn't far away....

    Just realised this season is probably on me. We had a new kitchen in late October and haven’t played the dishwasher game since.

    I will bring it back for next season I think.
