That place is over priced and over rated. I concur too, the service is rubbish. Went when it was ginos and was the same.
Went to Hearth last night, very good, though the desert offerings aren’t as good on a night as they are for Sunday lunch. About to set off to The Magpie for fish and chips.
Are the desert offerings colder on a night? The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Yep.It wasn't one of Chazz's quiz questions. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
English is a wonderful and strange language, oh how I envy those, like yourself, that are bilingual. Mastering (loose term) English and Scottish is no mean feat. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
On the torrox road to competa there is a pub called The Pav, it is about as close as you can get to a proper old fashioned pub. Pool table right slap bang in the middle of the bar, you literally have to walk around it to get a drink. 3 dartboards, big open fire ( only used in winter as it gets ****ing hot every other time ) there is even western type swinging doors from the kitchen. Outside they do a spit roast every Sunday, chicken to die for, the tables are under an open type marquee thingymegig. Full English is a proper full English, one you usually have to climb it’s that big, the bud on draft is as sneaky as ****, goes down way too easy and proper gets you later in the night lol. The only Michelin star in there is the one on the fat Michelin men sat on barstools with their England shirts on. I would not have it any other way, you can keep your poncey single carrot and beetroot on a plate, give me a Pav fish and chips any day. The meals are cheap only problem is the cost of flights and accommodation but definitely worth the effort…..
I'm going to Roots Rum Shack tonight - been a long time since i was on Newland Ave, what's it like for parking these days?
