Ah kay, explains why they don't do it when you order paint stripper **** with a screw top from the local boozer.

That said, although I wouldn't expect it in a pub, in a restaurant or hotel, you kinda do expect them to pour the wine.

 

Only in the ones where you’d leave a good tip

Mate, this was one of your ‘let’s go for a quick pint and go’ pub, not some high end restaraunt in Paris.. one of my closest pals is from Surrey, still lives there now.. mentioned it to him and he even said it’s daft.

 

Exactly mate, a normal pub doing it is just pure snobby.

Imagine going for a lads day out and you all order a pint and you’ve got that one fella “you gonna pour this wine for me?” so cringe. Be asking for a bib next.
