I think it's a shame that the game we have loved for so long is losing it's soul by selling it to the highest bidder. I don't have any great love for football anymore, just Liverpool. I would like to think that there would be a pushback from your fans over the Qataris coming in, as I would hope there would be from our fans but we live in the age of football fans (mostly younger) getting their opinions from social media rather than stopping and thinking for themselves.
In fairness we've had 14 years of our owners sponsoring us prior to the Saudis, it's just none of the rest of the league cared when Ashley was milking us dry for free. The fanbase at Newcastle wrote to the league on a number of occassions asking to intervene to stop it and were ignored and effectively told it belonged to Ashley and he could do what he wanted in that regard, I'm sure you can understand why we find this a touch hypocritical now. For the record I wish we had different owners but have been consistently fed the line that I have no control over who owns my club and I should just accept it for years, so hey ho.
We're actually pushing against the Radcliffe deal bcos we want the Glazers out more I don't blame anyone for feeling that way, but the whole thing highlights how mad football has become where there literally are no good options anymore. If/when LFC are sold, you're going to encounter the same sort of problems.
The only team that has matched and even bettered City on shots on goal and on target, more corners, more xGs. Albeit against a city team with some key players missing.
He looked a real prospect when he first appeared. Still a very good player but not quite the level I was expecting.
Think injuries haven’t helped but very much s physical player in that has a lot of pace to get up and down, but doesn’t quite have the technical ability on the ball to suit brightons style. Can see him moving in the summer as Brighton most likely be buying s new RB as been a problem position for them.
I recall really liking two RB at the time; Lamptey and AWB, really wanted us to go for either (before Trent truly broke through). Bloody glad we didn't now
Y’know I am not so sure Z did in fact I think he mocked people that did #calledit sadly he will never be able to prove or disprove it as he doesn’t read back
I said we'd win the lot mate, wouldn't say anything else. The #calledit above was a piss take; MITO understands, hence him liking it
I figured I was drawing attention to the ones (let’s call us the pessimistic twats) who did call it Tbh had to be right at least once On the plus side I have thought all along we just needed the proper break we will be back much stronger next season imho
spurs are the gift that keeps on giving. their latest managerial target rules himself out as spurs wanted to negotiate his release fee with his current club. thats just the 10th or whatever target rejecting them then
