Never say never. Wrexham need to be a bit careful. If they throw loads of cash at it and bring in superstars they will not build a sustainable club and they’ll come crashing back down the leagues when the glamour has worn off.

It's actually all very quiet on that front, i know the season hasn't finished yet as playoffs still going on but i thought there would be loads of rumours already flying around, thankfully that's not the case..... YET!!

Just because it's quiet doesn't mean there's nothing going on.I'd bet there's a lot going on in the background and I'm happy that's how we now operate.

Nothing to do with transfer rumours, I am so glad we got the automatic spot or I feel that could well have been us last night.

The Wendy fans must be absolutely distraught. They were what, 10 clear at the top with 7 weeks to go? You do have to feel for them though, but only a little.
Just think, we won 14 out of 16, and we still only scraped it into the autos by 2 points....and also a big thanks to FGR

A fine club, they will be back. 96 points should be enough to get promoted. The play offs are a lottery. I’d stick with Darren Moore and get off his back.

To me, last night just highlights the unfairness of the current play off system. The fact that Sheff Wed finished 19 points above Peterborough is not taken into account, still 1 home and 1 away game which doesn’t seem fair. If you want to have the play offs, I would have the following set up. 5th plays at home to 6th. Winners play away at 4th and the winners of that play away at the team that finished 3rd to decide who goes up. I would also add the play offs to the premier league and have the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th placed teams playing for the last champions league spot, Can you imagine the outcry if 1 of the so called big clubs lost out to a smaller team?

Your proposal doesn’t necessarily give advantage to the third placed team, because they’ll be cold whilst the other sides have momentum playing football and winning matches to get there. If you give them any kind of different treatment (might as well be a 3 goal start), it’s no longer competitive and you may as well just promote the team in third. Where does it stop? How do you account for sides that finish level on points and close on goal difference, or giant gaps?

Personally, you can’t do it in a fixed tournament like the World Cup but I’d like to do away with penalty shootouts in the domestic season and go back to the titanic battles of the past. Get everybody back to Wembley for Cup Final replays. It was a lot more thrilling and playing for a draw got you nowhere.

A lot more harsh is the Tractor Girls’ division where you can finish top and not be promoted, or have the two seasons in a row we’ve had, narrowly missing out on top spot and not even get a play off match.

Not surprised one bit. Still has quality, but I think he'll be integrated into the coaching set up.

Yes I'm also surprised about Aluko, he has some really good qualities but feel apart from Chaplin who is more of a second striker no one really nailed that no.10 position last season, or showed a level of consistency when coming off the bench in changing a game (if Chaplin had an off game). Some of the things Aluko did I often wonder how we had a player of that quality playing at this level, his touch, his positional play was superb then he would frequently run into a crowd of players and lose the ball and I would realise why. I think sometimes he's one of those players who you could frame as does the difficult things well but then doesn't do the simple things enough.

I do feel for KVY, he was superb when he first came here but had an awful injury and took a while to get back into the first team contention. From what I've seen this season, when he did play I actually thought he played pretty well and in the first 2 thirds of the season where we could be a little 1 dimensional actually offered us something a bit different going forwards. I thought he was a little unlucky not to play more in the Donacien position or come on more regularly in the Burns position ahead of Jackson.

I'd say priority is a striker, if not Hirst someone with similar attributes who can stretch a defence and do the physical stuff. Then in terms of depth I'd say especially as Keogh has gone and Edmunson has had a long injury CB would be a priority, in terms of quality I'm also not sure we have the consistency to replace or impact on a game in that 10 and wide right position. I'd say the only player really coming on and doing something to shift the momentum in a game when we needed a result was Edwards. Ladapo did well as a sub but that was generally to kill off a game when we were afforded more space rather than needing a change to win or get back into it.

I feel like I'm being quite picky with the squad because in comparison to squads we've had pretty much for the last 20 years the strength in depth of this one is very good.
