Most football fans are total ****ing idiots who should not be listened to, I thought that much was a given? And yes, I speak as a fan myself
This is totally false. Goztepe were relegated in May 2022. Sports Republic bought them in August 2022. Goztepe have just finished this season in 7th place (of the second tier), which puts them in the playoffs (starting this Friday), and so they still have a chance of earning promotion back to the SuperLig. A very good chance in fact, because they finished the regular season strongly; they went unbeaten in their final 15 games of the campaign. They haven't lost since February 5th, and that is likely in part due to the (four) players SR brought in during the winter transfer window. Please post this to the conspiracists on Facebook.
Far too many actual facts there to make that a credible article for the conspiracy theorists…!! As the saying goes, why let the facts get in the way of a good story…!!
I have no evidence to show that Ankersen and Solak don't belong to a satanic cult that sacrifices virgins and drinks their blood though, so that rumour might be worth spreading on Facebook.
Conspiracy theories are so odd. Everything has to be some evil geniuses nefarious plot and not just a decision which didn’t work out as hoped.
Nearly all of them crumble to dust when you simply ask 'To what end? Why would xxxxx do this?' Usually it is so complex and difficult and involves so many people that it would be impossible to cover it up. Only three people knew about the Watergate break-in, three people, it still got out. For instance, it would make SR more money if Saints stayed in the Premier League, it's as simple as that. So to what end relegation and hoping you can sell young players for more money than you'd make in the Premier League? That is a much bigger risk.
Bless (I also am convincing myself of this because I am a Saints fan first and a sensible person second )
My favourite thing about conspiracy theorists is the idea that the government is all powerful when most public sector bodies are held together with good will and sticky tape. The idea that those working in the public sector are devious manipulators is laughable if you'd spent any time in there. I've got a lad still waiting for issued trousers for over a year because they keep ****ing up the order. For. Trousers. The British public sector would have really struggled to plan 9/11. It would have been delegated to Carol to buy the demolition kit but she's on maternity leave so no one would have done anything about it. I can't imagine the yanks are much different
As someone who works with the US government once told me, the people in Washington can't keep what they had for lunch secret, so the idea that the amount of people who would need to be involved in something that enormous could actually a - pull it off, and b - keep it under wraps, is somewhat absurd.
The 9/11 conspiracy theory was started by the US government. They didn’t want people to think that they got ****ed over by a small group from the other side of the world so they created a story that they did it to look like they always have control
I was going to become a conspiracy theorist, until I heard what the government and their secret aliens do to conspiracy theorists.
Exactly. They send them to the moon then deny they’d ever been there. Actually thinking about it, that would be a great thing to do to them. Couldn’t deny the landing happened then.
Change is not always a negative thing and the truth is that the club has stagnated and become stale over the last few seasons. I believe that we already have an excellent crop of young players here and it just needs a few astute signings of older experienced players to help to guide them. Tella and Smallbone staying would be an excellent start to the pre-season and I've read a few positives about Russell Martin's style of play that I like and I hope he is backed and gets who he needs in. Ruben should be another one out of the door as he has been a significant influence over this very disappointing season.
100%. If the conspiracy loons (sorry Le Tiss*) knew just how totally dysfunctional every level of government was, they'd go back to realising that; A) Life is actually quite boring B) They're confusing incompetence with malevolence. There's not a single public sector organisation which doesn't have some level of general tomfoolery. Its a major surprise it doesn't go tits up more often. Conspiracy theories suit the government because they'd rather be thought evil then incompetent *I love you and I always will
The biggest conspiracy theory that most people seem to accept is: ‘all politicians are as bad as each other’. No they aren’t. Stop using it as an excuse to vote blue.
