...let's face it, Nigel Pearson will take no further part in Hulls footballing history, he's gone, to placate the Hull chairman I believe we ought to pay what he asks, but with a caveat, as people have pointed out, both chairman are very very wealthy people, so, the original £700,000, amount goes to Hull, the extra he's put on because he's ticked off and is stamping his foot, should go to 'Help for Hero's' or some other charity, that way your chairman has won, and so have we, getting Nigel Pearson, and so helping disadvantaged people in the process.... naive? maybe, but these are rich business men and all they really want to do is score points and make money.... come on people, get a grip, let's get this sorted and move on shall we.......

It's a good idea but I cannot see it happening! How about we pay out an amount now and more if we go up and a refund if Hull go up! TBF Hull deserve what they ask for because lets face it, the club (not the fans) have put a spanner in the works of Hulls plans and ambitions, so just pay up :p

Basically now this is just Top not letting Hull think they can get one over us and vice versa

Both should meet in the middle of around 1M. We should let them have Chris Weale as part of a bargaining tool:wink:

..not sure they would want our Chris, but it is true, brinkmanship, bravado, oneupmanship etc etc is what's going on at the moment, like 2 spoilt kids... and I'm betting Hull fans want to see him gone and start to fail with us, the sad thing is we normal fans can do nowt about it, like always, powerless to change anything...

    We'll take £1m cash.

    Or Weale and £2m.

Deal but we want a clause put in there that Weale has to play ever week regardless of how bad he was the week before

Knowing our luck, I'd probably turn into a next Peter Shilton if we did that.

    Who Weale?

I can safely say Chris Weale will not be the next Peter Shilton. Cant command his area, doesnt communicate and lets in any shot from outside the area

You ask too much, we'll take an extra £1m if we have to have him on the bench, but if we actually have to play him, then we'll need at least £15m.

As I see it at the moment we're both in the s** t regarding a manager, especially Dull as they've still not got a manager either so how long will they go biting off their nose to spite their face just for a few bob. We don,t need the money cos we're minted and it's showing how how desperate Allam is for money, he's probably weighing up what to get his missus for Xmas with it.

Deal just about done allegedly, it's expected to be confirmed on Monday, Pearson to be replaced by a Joyce/Barmby combo, according to our local radio station.

    Hallelujah!

How reliable our your local radio mind? Guessing the compensation figure is undisclosed? Also, anything mentioned about Shaky and Walsh?

P.S. Joyce is a shrewd appointment IMO <ok>.

In all seriousness chaps Allem is a bit of a Philanthropist in these parts and has already given millions of £sss to the local community. I am sure all HCAFC fans will confirm how generous he has already been in the local area and he certainly is not in it for the money.

Our local radio are not reliable at all, but it's now being reported elsewhere, it looks like it's happening.

There's no mention of the amount, but I suspect it will be halfway between what each party was aiming for.

Shaky and Walshy were always going to be part of the deal, so I'm sure they're all coming together.

Joycey is a bit of unknown quantity nowadays, he's already a hero here, but he's been out of club management for quite a while(not that working at Man United for the past four years is likely to have done him any harm). Hooking him up with Barmby, who is already very highly regarded by the squad, is probably a very good move. <ok>
