So Tim left us ...with a surgery requiring injury

Aston Villa injury news: Tim Iroegbunam surgery emerges amid England Under-20 World Cup squad absence
There was joy and despair for two Aston Villa loanees this week, with Aaron Ramsey named in England’s Under-20 World Cup squad but Tim Iroegbunam sharing some ill-timed injury news with fans on Twitter.

No statement on what the injury is...
But explains why he wasn't in our final match

He comes across well. There might well be more to him than I first thought. Let's hope so and next season isn't the struggle I feared.

Good interview. Like Ciarrai says, let’s hope he surprises next season.

(They could’ve cleaned the glass behind him first!)

Sadly our wage bill is a lot higher than that. Last accounts showed wages at £27.5m. Even if we conservatively say 'only' £20m of that is playing staff, that's still £384k a week for us. Pretty easy to look this stuff up in published accounts so if they can't get ours right I suspect the rest is BS too.

It is true that Cov and Luton have wage bills around or under half of ours, as I've looked that up before.

Most of that £27.5m is going to Tottenham Les though while poor old Kakay lives in a modest flat in Borehamwood.

As I sneak in as an old git I can’t really complain, but some of these prices for the quality of entertainment and especially the environment are really scandalous. I haven’t looked it up but I bet we will be amongst the most expensive in the championship.

Given what we witnessed last season and the cost of living crap it will be interesting to see how many renew. I can’t see too many spur of the moment ‘I’ll just take the family to QPR tomorrow’ decisions when just to get into the dump will cost at least £40 per adult including “booking fee”.

I don’t really have an issue with the prices per se. It makes more sense for me to pick and choose my games now I’m moving South and if I end up spending a bit more overall then it’s probably worth it for not paying a chunk up front anyway.

The benefits of having a ST now are pretty minimal apart from guaranteeing a great seat if you’ve had one for years and being with a crowd you’ve known for years but there’s always a decent seat available if you book a week or so in advance unless we’re doing really well which is unlikely.

With Reading gone and Luton possibly going it might only be Watford where there’s a bit of a scramble for tickets and I can get home tickets there if I have to anyway. The other benefits like club shop points and all that bollocks are irrelevant to me.

If I was new to the area/London and looking for a club to follow I wouldn’t find £651 for Gold very enticing in a city full of Premier League teams or cheaper Championship options.

£651 for a Gold is crap value unless you want to attend every game, whatever is going on. For me it works out at under £17 a game, which means I can miss loads (usually the less enticing midweek games ie most of them) before the economics get screwed.

I’ll renew, it gets me out of the house. Might start taking a blanket and a thermos next season though…..have a little doze.
