Don't know how he's doing for his club, on his season loan. But turns it on for Paraguay, and scored a canny goal. A fully fledged international, but is ****e at club level. Never know he may be back.... And his team-mate Da Silva, also done well.
I think he maybe needed a year in Turkey to toughen up. Football in S. America is much more skill based and less physical than here, unless you're a striker or maybe an out-and-out winger. Here, a lad that can put himself about like Catts is a good player. In Argentina, he'd be lucky to find a club. Riveros is a class player and if he can adapt to it, we're looking at Larsson, Vaughan, Sess, Riveros all with more skill than last year, plus Gardner with much more attacking ambition. Could be good. We won't get hoofball with them lads. Let's wait and see. Good luck to him.
He's got a great surname like... It would be great to see him playing great football for SAFC. I had high hopes for hime when he joined us but not sure if he will ever be able to cope with PL footy.
I watch South American quite a bit. I still have high hope for the lad. If he gets a run of games he could do something for us IMO.
Brucie is not the manager to bring the best out of this lad We do not set up to play to the strengths of Riveros who IMO when playing to his strengths is a really good player unless we have a new manager by next summer then it would be good for all parties if he moves on
