    payback the tax and a hefty fine, pointless putting him inside as that will cost the taxpayer money

    This. It'll probably be the tax owed, plus interest, plus a certain percentage of the tax for a fine (up to 100%?). So he'll just owe **** loads.

    Doubt he'll get sent down

    Pretty severe punishment for somebody that earns millions of pounds a year....bet he's dreading getting found guilty. It'll probably take him at least a fortnight to pay the money back.
