Pretty much our whole season epitomised in one game.

It’s the women’s team I feel sorry for.

In all enterprises, you get a set of workers who are
quite competent/expensive, but have hubris on
believing they are much better than they really are.

Sometimes those in charge say, I place my trust in
having an entire set of while not as competent/
expensive to a man, are highly ambitious and
    committed to the cause ...

These posts make more sense than anything the club has done since 2019 <laugh>

I just loved our second half display of sideways, sideways, backwards passing, didn't you.Trying to do something against a packed Brentford defence and failing miserably. I do believe Loris would have saved their second goal and maybe their first.I think Son must have stayed in the dressing room in the second half.....and I wished Davies had stayed with him. Bye,Bye Harry. For God's sake save yourself and get the hell out of there!!!!

Thank **** I got busy at work and missed that second half.

    Jokers, man.

God bless you, Harry, you deserve better than this. Absolutely won’t begrudge him a move.

Some masochist out there is surely scouring our matches to try and pinpoint the exact moment our players checked out for the season, and barring a handful never checked back in

The Wolves match is the most obvious suspect given our form's nosedive immediately after, but the Leicester match is the most likely culprit and is only masked because the players were momentarily switched on for the West Scam and Chelsea matches afterwards

You should try doing something differently.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and whilst there is no question that we were going nowhere under Conte the results since we sacked him (2 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats) have been disaster and I doubt that the season would have unravelled quite as badly if he had stayed.

I hated watching his style of football and his general attitude, but for anyone who hadn’t realised at the time, it’s now clear to see why we were so defensive.
A massive change of approach is needed higher up. Even mourinho has done well at Roma.
it doesn’t matter who is the manager, we’re just going round in circles.

huge clear out needed and reset button/s need pressing, despite Paratici making some changes over the last 2/3 windows already. Back to square 1.

at least it’s looking like we’ll only have 1 game p/w next season and may be able to concentrate more on the domestic cup trophies.

Europe feels like a lost cause for us.
Not good enough to win the CL, barely good enough to win europa, won’t take conference league seriously.

TBH it was unravelling the exact same way, because once we lost Bentancur and Bissouma our play was entirely predictable and teams could set up against us in their sleep, which is why a lot of matches saw us ferrying the ball from RWB to LWB via the midfield pivot

Mason at least changed our attacking patterns, but the amount of players who'd mentally checked out since Easter was always going to make it an uphill battle
