I liked Winchester. Never shirked anything and gave everything. Hope he has a good career elsewhere. I reckon he would be a good addition for some championship sides.

i know many have said it but we really need some 'size' in the squad, too many times we have watched teams who decide they cannot handle us so just resort to pushing/pulling/barging the lads, no need for them to be over 6 foot (apart from defence) but physically able to stand up to niggly fouls.

It’s a matter of depth really, the first eleven includes quite a few big lads now, Patterson, Batth, Ballard, Alese, Ekwah and Stewart are all big and physical whilst Hume, Cirkin O’Nien are hardly shrinking violets when it comes to a scrap.

I'd take Rak-Sakyi from Palace on loan. Pretty much a like-for-like replacement for Amad with the potential to be just as good. Having seen what we've done for Amad's development you'd think both club and player jump at it, if we make an offer.

He's just had a season loan at Charlton and done very well, could be a good shout for us, I'd prefer to buy rather than loan if I'm honest, seeing these loanees have a great season then having to lose them isn't a good idea imo.

Imagine the swansong, coming towards the end of a glittering career then starting in midfield helping his hometown club gain promotion back to the Premier League.

Haway Jordon lad, you know it makes sense.

think he will get plenty of game time for them next season so might not be as keen to jump on it. But I agree with you.

Think we have a better shot at somebody like Anthony Elanga

Smart hardworking lad who is club captain and will want to do his coaching badges. Be really really hard to prise him away, Liverpool will want to keep him in the fold. Time to bombard his social media with pictures of pink slices and saveloy dips?

Clubs set to back FA’s English incentive plans for overseas signings
Premier League and EFL sides close to approving proposal allowing them to sign up to four promising overseas players if English talent is given 35 per cent playing time

Southgate and the FA are worried that the influx of foreign players since Brexit is affecting English talent
MICHAEL REGAN/THE FA VIA GETTY IMAGES
Premier League and EFL clubs are close to backing a radical FA plan that will allow them to sign up to four promising overseas players who would not get a work permit under the existing system.

The FA plan incentivises clubs to give increased playing time to English-qualified players. The more playing minutes a Premier League or Sky Bet Championship club gives to English players, the higher the number of young overseas stars they can sign outside of the work permit points system.

If it is signed off by the clubs, the FA will take the plan to the Home Office — which is reviewing the Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) system — and present it as a unified football position which can be in place

It would depend who we could bring in, id like us to get a quality no10 either on loan or permanent. Just feel its a position we need to improve on. Pritchard still has gamss of really quality, the 1st leg against luton n the preston game showed his class. However, i dont think hes consistent enough for a team challenging at the top of the championship
