Repost & edit; None of the info on RM looks that good and I’d normally say “in the board we trust” but after NJ & RS, I’m not so sure. Also, I don’t think RM will have much “pulling power” nor influence to retain the few we want to stay. However, if he’s the man, then as with all previous before, he’s got my full support.
As I mentioned on the championship. Very happy that this is done quickly and decisively. even if you don’t agree with the appointment, at least the players know who will be in charge next season and they can be on board or **** off
Credit to SR for getting a new manager in so early. Hopefully the manager search has been mainly lead by Jason Wilcox, in which case I have a much better feeling about the appointment then Jones.
How do you know you have a better feeling about appointment than Jones? Have you asked Jones how he feels about the appointment?
Well I don't mind saying that I am thoroughly underwhelmed by this. PS Can someone please screen shot this so that it can be thrown back in my face repeatedly following our automatic promotion. PPS Sneaky little fist pump and Come On You ****ing Saints muttered under my breath as I post.
It's only a handful of highlights, but notably they're playing slowly from the back, but the tempo increases through the middle third. Which is in contrast to our style, where the middle third is where any ambitions of creating scoring chances shrivel up and die.
Seems like we're planning to stay in the Championship for a while then. So much for the optimism that SR would get the next one right. Stinks of another Rasmus spreadsheet.
I’ve no idea whether Martin is any good, or whether he’ll be a success here, but I am glad we’ve (seemingly) got this done early. We would have needed someone in early in a normal off-season, but this year there’s even less time between the end and start of seasons. Get him started ASAP.
We don't even know who the squad is yet, to be fair. If it's well-suited to the new manager and has good talent and depth relative to this level, then cool. If it's the same old faces then I will be heading to the bunker. I'll be crossing my toes - but I do think they will not be scared to spend, and go after some divisional rivals' top talents.
Did it though? I saw Close Encounters of the third kind, and I'm pretty sure that some of the returnees were 'lost' in the triangle. And it was on TV, so it must be true.
