Norwich City are pleased to announce that Ashley Barnes will join the club on a two-year deal from July 1. An announcement on their season tickets having having sold out (again and all at full price) is expected shortly.
Great news about Alfie Jones signing a new contract. That is 3 young CB on long-term deals, which bodes well for the coming seasons.
It's funny how much has changed in the last 18 months. Under the Allams, contract extensions just weren't a thing and we got used to losing any half-decent players we had. Now, it seems almost inevitable that both Alfie and Sean would sign new deals. The players seem more than happy to commit and it's a really good building block
I’ve heard Derby are willing to accept offers north of £1 million for Bielik. £1 million and change plus offer them Ryan Woods would be really good business imo but the biggest issue would be wages and his injury record. He’s played about 35 games this year and been relatively injury-free but two ACL tears before the age of 25 is a massive worry. Rosenior’s worked with him at Derby though so who knows.
Can’t believe either Coventry or Luton are going to be a Premier League team next season. How on earth did that happen
coulda said the same about bournemouth it's one of the brilliant things about football and the english league system
Luton's got a dilemma now about their ground. It'll cost £10 million to bring it upto spec for the Prem but they was going to build a new stadium anyway which will take 2 to 3 years. They'll have to share a ground if they go for the new one.
Can’t stay fit though, would look at Ayala from them though to tick the overhanging box of experience at the back. Wouldn’t have to play every week and is right sided
Won't they just get dispensation to sort it over the next few years, like every club in this position always seems to end up doing?
i don't think luton could as i think the issue is related to the media facitilies, and premier league teams are required to have specific facilities for all the media premier league games have, not sure the exact specifics at least that's what i read but i feel like 10m is pittance in the long scheme much better to have home games at their ground than use something like the soulless mk dons arena i do have a softspot for their ****hole of a ground, it's proper old school, traditional
