Imagine Mark taking them to Old Trafford next season. After Coventry win he would be in line to become their manager.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65553765 Great game last night. Posh were really unlucky to loose this.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65636753 "I'd never move on because of - without being rude - a few divorcees in a snake pit abusing me," said Webber. Any criticism of Webber means you are an angry divorcee. Also all abuse is unacceptable
I didn't notice much hostility at the embarrassing Blackpool home defeat , Pukki was given a great send off & the players were applauded as they walked around the pitch at the end . Webber comes over as very arrogant & fragile . Branding the snake pit as divorcees probably won't win over many fans that feel short changed by the club .
Personally I quote enjoy the way Webber talks, he tackles a lot of the questions that people have wanted addressing in the recording if people would give him a chance and actually listen, rather than taking a snippet from it and getting upset about it. Webber was typically bullish, as he was when he first came in - we loved him for it, but he was also a lot more humble in this one as well I thought.
Hostility was reported on the PinkUn at the time, it was said that after Pukki was cheered off, the attentions moved to chants aimed at Webber
He's a typical crybully. Picks silly fights with local media & fans then plays the victim . Most of his signings were flops he failed just admit it & he would probably get more respect
Did he create it or did people take his comments out of contact and attack him for them. God forbid with hindisght he appoints a manager that doesn't work out. Who's your ideal Sporting Director? Good luck finding Mr Perfect
Have you listened properly or turned off after 5 mins? He did admit mistakes this season, you clearly don't like him and aren't prepared to give him a chance, despite overseeing 2 promotions in 5 years and punching above our weight financially, just happy to pick out comments that fit your agenda to attack him by.
Someone did a breakdown on Webber's signings & rated them as failure & success . Tens of millions of pounds possibly hundreds , that's what he's employed to do . I've never seen him admit he got anything wrong but very quick to blame the fans & call them names . He's supposed to serve the fans not the other way round, they are just consumers to him
You think he's great ok that's your opinion , do we all have to agree with you & never criticise Webber ? You sound like a cult member. After 2 promotions in 5 years we are skint & back to square 1 finishing in our lowest position in 5 years having to sell our best players & no I'm not divorced
I think it was Michael Bailey, I believe someone mentioned it on here, haven't read it to be honest and I suppose is pretty subjective. How did they define failure? Not a chance we have spent "hundreds" of millions in the past 6 years, possibly 1 hundred and I would imagine we are in net profit for transfer business, just a guess. Quoted figures Webber states have been over estimated, he says that Klose is still out record signing as a club. Maybe listen again and you could hear him admit to making mistakes and failure this season.
Failure as in buying a player & selling them at a loss & paying high wages for loaness that come in already injured & add zero value. With transfer fees & wages he spent way over £100m since he arrived. Pukki & Buendia were great business most of the others are being released for free or at a loss not many have increased in value . Sara at £10m will probably turn a profit can't think of many others attracting much interest . Giving both Farke & Smith pretty long contracts that we are still paying was also very expensive
