I’m currently on holiday in Turkey. The Efes beer is going down well. I’ve mentioned Acun’s name a few times, they love him. A shopkeeper trying to sell me a genuine fake jacket spent ten minutes telling us how Acun turned up at the earthquake towns with truck loads of clothes.
Just watching the play off and Giles Boro’s wi g back put a low ball in that neither of our backs seem to be able to do , that’s why Elder was let go .
The Shelbourne takeover must still be alive https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/so...f-funding-for-training-facilities-in-ireland/
Gambling in football is rammed down our throats from adverts at half-time on Sky to shirt sponsors and stadiums being named after betting companies. Promoting a vice and raking the sinner over the coals. The whole thing reeks of hypocrisy.
Yea it really is a disgrace 2nd half of boro v coventry The skybet championship logo Then huge 32red and unibet plastered halfway up the stand and skybet side of the pitch Directly in eyesight, all in 10 seconds And about 4 different bookies in the halftime ads While both having bookies on middle of shirt And huge 32red and skybet logos next to the goals Its honestly ridiculous
I’m very laissez-faire when it comes to what vices people can indulge in as long as they don’t directly harm others. Wanna do heroin or cocaine? Be my guest. I don’t think people should be criminalised for it. I also don’t think it should be promoted, encouraged or advertised either though. There’s a reason tobacco is still legal to purchase but is prohibited from being advertised. I think gambling should be treated like tobacco products in this respect.
