This is the best, most interesting English lesson I have had to date. Did you know "listen" and "silent" use the same letters? Do you know that the words "race car" spelled backwards still spells "race car"? And that "eat" is the only word that if you take the first letter and move it to the last, it spells its past tense "ate"? And have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in "illegal immigrants," and add just a few more letters, it spells: "Go home you free-loading, benefit-grabbing, resource-sucking, baby-making, non-English-speaking jackasses and take those other hairy-faced, sandal-wearing, bomb-making, camel-riding, goat-loving, raggedy-ass bastards with you." How weird is that?
The Red Cross just knocked on my door and asked if we could contribute towards the floods in Pakistan. I said we'd love to, but our garden hose only reaches the driveway.
One of our TV journalists, Stan Grant, has decided he has had enough of racism on our TV and has 'stood down'. Stan grant was white for years until it became cool to be aboriginal, then, quite suddenly he became black, and blacker as he went on. Pity his tanning bed didn't think to darken his hands as well as his face. Some photos of him showing a distinct tide mark around his neck are something to see. Nothing to do with footy, just saying.
Just a quick addendum to my previous post. I read this on the BBC website two days ago, it has just now hit our own news pods. Mmmmmmmmmm.....
A teacher who misgendered pupils by saying 'well done girls' praising their efforts has been banned from the profession in a case believed to be the first of its kind in the UK ..... nice to know that all that education has not gone to waste and he got his comeuppance FFS...I never played truant back in the day but by **** I'd be off round the town centre now if that's what classmates complain about now
