Smug made a comment about posters on the boris thread yesterday just after 6pm. I replied to his post advising in my eyes it was a tad OTT and we could edit out the poor taste comments. One of the said posters liked my suggestion and a few minutes later Smug got barred for a week. Seems a bit harsh in my eyes that one of our main contributors is dealt with in such a draconian oppressive, if not vindictive, way?

I'd like to sign this petition to the Mods, reinstate Smug asp.

Does anyone else agree?
Definitely agree. Haven't read the thread (nor this one) but it's a massive game tonight FFS. Can't keep him off the match thread

I'm not going to interfere with another board's moderating but I would plea to at least let him enjoy the match tonight and, hopefully, the celebrations after

For those mentioning banning him this stage of the season, I think it's worth pointing out that it wasn't mods from.our board that has banned him but mods from the site so what stage of the season wouldn't matter to them.

Can @Gordon Armstrong and @marcusblackcat confirm?
Yeah that’s right. I’ve requested the ban rescinded

It's how I read it! Just wanted to confirm and point it out as there was some mentioning they can't believe he has been banned with tonight's match coming up, although not directly blaming you guys it could go that way.

Let's be honest, whether he crossed a line or not, they've banned the poster based on personal feelings towards him rather than what he's posted.

When all kinds of offensive stuff has been posted previously, people were told that they were "choosing to be offended".
Offensive stuff that lost us Chunk, same poster involved

I suspect the usual suspects (can't say for sure as I have them all on ignore :emoticon-0102-bigsm ) have been ganging up and winding him up again. A lot of new posters followed him over from RTG when he was banned from there for **** all and they seem to resent that they did. They preferred their own little echo chamber of right wing biased nonsense. Smug, put them all on ignore mate, it is not worth your time and intelligence arguing with them, as that is exactly what they want. Hopefully you are back soon as the forum is all the better for your contributions.

Being offended is a choice to be fair.
