Some of their fans are already not happy with Howe, imagine what they will be like if they don't do the quadruple next year.

 

Normally there's a transition when clubs get taken over by the mega rich and they start to buy their way to the top. We saw it with Man City, they went from being similar to us and enjoying it to having the usual top six complacency, expectations and lack of respect for competitions they now see as being beneath them.

Not so with the mags. They've thought they're entitled to win everything every year since 1992.

 

I remember when 'City were in the Third Division thinking that their fans were like us (the nearest thing to being us) because they were 'still there' like we would be, and I had total respect for them.

They then became rich and I thought 'at least that's competition for Chelski' who I can't stand 'cos everything about them is now wrong (buying success rather than earning/deserving any), although it's still not the right way to do things.

The most important thing is that I've never heard any 'City fans bragging about their wealth like Chelski did, so I still have some respect for them. I also respect Guardiola, who has done very well blending a fantastic team, but it will always be tainted 'cos he's had access to funds which has made his job a lot easier than it should have been. He probably couldn't do what Tony Mowbray is doing, like Cloughie could do and did, with two different teams without a massive financial advantage.

If the Maggots are successful in buying trophies the arseholes amongst them will be even more unbearable than they already are, they certainly won't deserve whatever they win, but they'll brag like no other team has ever done . . . . they already brag when they've won now't 'cos they're proud of being funded by blood money

Let's hope that the current investigation proves the bent purchase that we all know that it was and they get their comeuppance though it's likely to be hidden with more brown envelopes
