I'll say it again, even though he isn't getting any menshies on MNF - Fab was outstanding tonight. IF he can give us another season like that, then yes, we could get MacCallister and thrive. I'm just hoping it wasn't a flash-in the-pan or swansong (insert your own cliche here) because if Fab can come back to his form of three years ago I'd take that more than Virgil getting back to where he was.
Dean Smith: "Two goals that were only marginally onside". Bit like saying they scored two goals that were only just over the line.
Think the first one they initially did it a fraction too late and he looked off and then went back to reversed it one frame and was on. problem with offside being what frame you look at. Why it can never be an exact science
I still hate VAR - it sucks all the life out a goal-scoring moment. I can't even get excited any more because I'm waiting for it to be ruled out for some reason, and after they've looked at every conceivable angle for five minutes the moment has gone.
That lil outside of the boot loop flick trent put gakpo in with early on was fuking delicious, people dont even notice this **** anymore when trent does it, hes a victim of his own success when it comes to rivals. Their loss, really.
The system change has reaped dividends. It's not 3223 it's not 4123 it's not 433, it's fluid depending on the situation. Football is a simple game until your at the very top level, when teams start to cancel each other out. Any little advantage can make the difference. Trent has come back to life. Fab looks quicker. Curtis Jones looks like a new player( I'm not convinced) The whole team look better, it's not players coming back, it's a change in tactics that the team has responded to.
His passing range and vision has been even better than ever recently.....such a dangerous player atm.
Trent is an astonishing player. If he was foreign the orgasm over him would be of tidal wave proportions. Because he's English, Quick to build him up, even quicker to rip him down
