Yup. its utterly pointless to start at this point. I would suggest they need to develop communication protocols and how to speak "formally" but rugby did this very quickly" All we want to hear is VAR first information to REF "var review into possible penalty/goal review/red card" aka per the RULES. We want the referee to formally communicate his soft decision "no penalty for X reason", or I didn't get a clear view (honesty, we need this ) or "penalty for Y reason" We want VAR to then clearly and simply state EXACTLY why on video review that there is no enough reason to go against the soft decision or whether a review on screen is required or whether decision should be overturned.
Yeah I think most of the controversies around VAR can be solved with one simple question - “did you see (insert incident)?” if for example that question is “did you see/know it hit the players arm” and the answer is yes but he waved it on - then that’s enough for me. The ref saw it and didn’t believe it was a penalty. Move on. If the answer is no, then go and review it (in real time) and decide the outcome
Leicester have no choice they have to come out and play believing that they have players to win the game. The first goal can be very important in this game,
yeah i think in the current rules where referee is god then that did you see question does resolve it. we will then get into the whole debate about fairness and reviews to stop refs being corrupt
No Nunez and the bench looks a bit light. Who is this Arthur bloke! Could this be the first time we see him in a game!
no nunez. hmm has had a lot of minor issues this year. jota also on bench after virtual rib breaker blthat was a yellow in any other league but completely unpunished here i don't know who writes our bench but they should really be consistent the first team is by position but bench is by number after gk mentioned first. shold be gk, then defenders, then cm then attackers.
Got a bad feeling about tonight. Our poor away form, Leicester are a bit of a bogey team and are always capable of scoring, and there's been a few decisive results this weekend. Wasn't Smith in charge when Villa beat us 7-1 as well? Hope I'm wrong. We need to keep @Treble nervous.
Nunez suffers toe injury Nunez trained fine yesterday but felt something in his big toe which is why he is not on the bench tonigh

Leicester team is interesting. i think they will push 3 up and park the rest and try hoof it at Barnes and maddison. our system isolates players and I think they will try get a run on our lads. don't expect them to push all on here. not a chance.
Howard Webb explaining how VAR links in with the on pitch referees. I would have been keen for him to explain how a defender clearly punched a player and broke his nose this weekend. VAR looked at it and pronounced it ok. Bonkers.
i think they have a plan to go one for one against our back 3 and run them. they will sit right off and draw us on if they have any brains and then just hoof it at Barnes and maddison
