There's a massive amount of backtracking from all you hypocrites who said the playoffs were just a bit of fun and weren't important ... ... I'd like to propose myself as King of the Hypocrites and abandon all pretence of ambivalence
As I said in an earlier post as soon as they went one up that carry on went right out the window I’m Spartacus
Luton should definitely have had a player sent off up here, so hopefully the ref tomorrow is a bit stronger but I've always thought there's an argument that the officials should be the same in home/away legs for consistency and fairness. I suppose it shouldn't matter as they should all enforce the rules the same!
Tomorrow is a PL ref who's prone to dishing out cards ... ... Wycombe had to reel in their aggression and cheating at Wembley and I think tomorrow will be the same.
Its daft I still don’t feel anywhere near as nervous as I did last year, it’s like a free hit. That will change if we get to Wembley like!
One player who needs to be on top of his game tomorrow night is Patterson. He needs to be brave. He needs to come out for those balls that will inevitably be launched into our area. He needs, in my humble opinion, to be coming to claim or punch the balls away to make up for our lack of height and not stay on his line as much. He’s come on leaps and bounds but he still makes me nervous at times. I hope I’m sensationally proved wrong tomorrow night! hats of to RTB. Thank you for all your hard working over the season for your match day threads
He has come on a lot and has been coming out to claim the ball in his box a lot more over the past few months. He needs to go for as much as possible tomorrow night and start pushing his way past players. 9 times out of 10, if a keeper and an opposition player go for a ball and the keeper ends up on the deck without it, he will get the free kick...
Going for 1-1 and if Roberts doesnt play going for an equaliser in the 95th minute bouncing off O9s left buttock and hitting one of their players on the way in. Heart may have stopped long before then but what a way to knock them out. Once again RTB thanks for another superb write up. Hopefully you have one more to complete this season.
Same here. I felt last year's game was pretty much a must win. We'd have lost players, wouldn't have signed most of those we did sign probably, and would have been almost starting again . We were kicked to bits on Saturday, and that will happen again unless the ref stops it. But I am not nervous at all about this game. We win great, we lose it was a great season and we'll finish above them next season anyway, as there is no way they can beat Boro at Wembley, and probably not Coventry.
Still pretty chilled. I want to win obviously but no tears or recriminations if we don't. Been a hell of a journey so far
Didn't make any chances from open play...? Patrick Roberts' chance before they scored ring any bells? Ekwah shooting? Pritchard crossing for Gelhardt? Must've been watching a different game! He wants their fans to make noise to imitate or players? If only we could get 40 odd thousand making loads of noise at home! Oh hang on....! Watching that, I think he's worried no matter how much he denied it even he was asked. He kept mentioning that it was their big game and they need to do anything to attack and how he wants the crowd to be involved (,yeah most managers come out with this but it seemed to be more a plea to me). I reckon it's going to be mostly direct from them at least the 1st half
