Just as an aside - did anybody notice how many of Luton’s black players had white bandanas on? I don’t know it it was intentional or not but it really highlighted how big all of them were and somehow made them look bigger. I wonder if it’s part of the psyche? I’d just never noticed a player wearing one like that and Luton had 3 or 4 of them
If we get through tomorrow we have 11 days until the final where we could suddenly see ourselves bolstered by the return of Alese, Ballard and Cirkin and players like Pritch, Gooch and Roberts will have had some time to let niggly injuries to settle. Tomorows match is huge because if we can overcome Luton i have every bit of confidence we will get promoted.
If Alese trained for the first time today in 10 weeks in would be absolutely incredible if he played, even for 10 mins. I reckon we are looking at a couple of mins to help see it out perspective only
Haha, I've just got @Smug in Boots reference to the Ninja Turtles.....brilliant. "We played it back, forward and back again which created space for Hume. He was very clever and drifted around them so he had the run on one of the Ninja Turtles in the box. The defender next to Hume couldn't challenge, without giving away a penalty, and Hume didn't have to jump. Watch it back and see how much ground Hume travels in the box".
What's our team if they don't make it? Patterson Huggins Hume O'Nien Gooch Michut Ekwah Neil Amad Gelhardt Clarke Subs: Bass, Anderson, Alese, Ba, Lihadji, Taylor, Someone else
Or do we chuck Anderson in? Patterson Hume O'Nien Anderson Gooch Ekwah Neil Michut Clarke Amad Gelhardt
Hey RTB thanks great as always really hope you’ve got one more slack thread before you recharge your batteries for next season.it’s gona be a tough one,we all said Saturday was a free hit but for me when we went one down just wanted to win so much the free hit flew out the window, the team deserve a day out at Wembley for the sterling efforts this season as well as fans who have been great this season as always,so here’s hoping uncle Tony his staff and this great team have one last push in them and get over the line COME ON
I know I may be reported for saying this but ... ... I couldn't tell them apart BTW I believe that if we score we'll win the game. Luton rarely score three goals and, if it goes to penalties, I'd back us to win ... ... Amad, Pritchard, Roberts, Neil and Clarke in that order. (If fit.)
Got a feeling we will get an early goal, and they’ll throw everything at us after it. But they’ll tire and we’ll pick them off. 0-3 K-SARAA SARAA!! Bart
We will definitely score an early goal, after a period of them hoying kitchen sinks at us we will score another, then they will start to lose their tempers and at least one of them (probably two) will 'see red' . . . . I have no doubt about that (well not much) Wednesday morning, and the rest of this week, is going to be busy online
Weather the early storm, stand up strong and keep it on the floor as much as possible. Luton need to come out and we've got the players to take advantage of that. Still too close to call for me. If we get through, I don't think either of the options are conducive to a good day out or our hard earned great reputation as fans down there either.
Considering our away form and the fact that only Burnley has stopped us scoring in 20 odd games, I'm confident that we will score at Luton. They're gonna throw everything at us in the first 20 mins, you think we were playing the Wimbledon with Vinny Jones and the rest. If we can get through that without conceding we'll get the result we need to get to Wembley
I reckon the only thing might cost us is the ref, leaving 8 players out was wrong in their last home game for starters. that win at WBA told me a lot, if we had Swansea or Watford i would be worried but none of the other 3 teams worry me and certainly not at Wembley, the Boro are dodgy and you need momentum in the play offs and most prem teams supporters are glad Millwall are not going up, THEY threw that Blackburn game away not us, and i am now a Blackburn supporter, shame they missed out but that own goal conceded against Coventry at home with seconds to go done them or we would have finished 6th and Cov 7th. and feeling greived what about 3 years ago when Peterboro missed out to 8th placed Wycombe in the play offs due to games played points crap. they will at least get to the final this year.
From ALS FB page : PRITCH PRE 2ND LEG After his impressive performance in the first leg of our Championship semi finals against Luton Alex Pritchard knows Tuesday will be a tough task but one that the lads are relishing it. KENILWORTH ROAD "It is a nice place to go, I love it. It’s a proper English stadium. These are the games you want to go to. You have all the different stadiums, the Stadium of Light unbelievable, but you go down there and it’s just different.” EXPECTATIONS "It’s going to be hostile, their fans are going to get behind them but we’ve got fans going and we’ll see what we can do. We’ve been there before and we drew 1-1 but it was probably loads of different players that were playing. I can’t remember that far back.” FORM MEANS NOTHING NOW "We are going to go down there and give it our all. With this game form goes out the window I think. It’s just a one-off game. I think they came here 14 unbeaten and we go and win. We know what’s going to be coming and have to stand up and be counted." TIL THE END "I think it’s just all credit to everyone really that is involved in it. We have had so many ups and downs and injuries, and everyone knows what’s gone on, but the togetherness is just unbelievable. It’s a never say die attitude.”
