I'm of the opinion, and always have been, that Wednesday should have played no one, top three promoted and no play offs. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
**** that, you will remember Deano volleying that goal in forever, but who really cares as much about going up 2nd or 3rd, yes it’s promotion, but winning a play off final is as good as winning the league, better some would say.
Oh the beauty of the play offs Carlton Palmer seems to have gone suspiciously quiet. He's been on the radio several times this season going on about towels getting promoted
Of course this principle applies only to the National league. Any team (in league 1 for example) with a high points tally but not going up automatically deserve whatever they get
Wouldn't be a bad question would it Chazz? I don't post on there though mate, just look for transfer news and daft stuff.
Deserved over the season, yes, but on the day Chesterfield were unlucky and deserved to win. I went because the tickets were cheap and I live in London - Chesterfield fans outnumbered two to one by Notts but still completely outsang them, and Notts play was mostly a v bad version of Rosie-ball with only ex-Tigers loanee Bostock and one of the wingers and the substitute winger having any talent. Langstaff looked awful and fluffed both his chances - no way the next Jamie Vardy on that showing. Bostock saved them with a fabulous free-kick - but then nearly cost them with his daft Panenka penalty. So it was an exciting game for a neutral. Only downside was we got forcibly moved from our section by Wembley officials at half-time, simply because they wanted to close it down (and presumably save dosh on zero contract hourly paid workers?). I refused to budge until I negotiated free beers for my son and I. Many people didn't want to move -- I wonder what our rights were in that situation?
