They're strolling around thinking they're better than they are imo. Got away with it at Brentford and today.

You'll never hear people saying drop the players they fancy the most btw.

I mean I wouldn't drop anyone of see the season through but Guimareas has been crap for a month.

Let's drop Wilson though who saved our arse only a week ago and scored twice today on high pressure situations.

Perhaps it’s hard to say I think we are starting to look a little dodgy defensively though and have for a little while we seem to concede every game now

Hoping it’s his injury but he seems to take an eternity on the ball and can really dally

This drop Wilson thing I find bewildering... he's playing well scoring goals every week. He scored two high pressure goals Today.

He's exactly what's needed a proper bloke with a proper set of balls and experience out there.

    He's scored 17 goals man.

We need to look at the bigger picture.

Wilson got an extra two goals today, but both were pens, and they were both technically won by Isak. Isak is providing so much more value than Wilson right now despite not being in his preferred position. Definitely a better all round player.

Created Wilsons first goal vs Southampton, won a penalty today, came closer than Wilson to scoring vs Arsenal.

Wilson is a good goalscorer, but he's limited in terms of his all round ability.

If we're going to drop Wilson or Isak, it has to be Wilson. He has more goals overall but has played more games, and his tally involves more pens, and his all round play is not as good as Isaks.

You don't pick a player for our upcoming games because of what they've done in the past specifically, you pick them because of how effective they are likely to be going forward.

If I had to choose to start Wilson or Isak, it would be Isak

The bigger picture? He's scored 17 goals... you think those were easy situations today? Nailed both of them.

The truth is you fancy isak and don't want to acknowledge Wilson anymore .

    Isaks been scoring too.

Check out the defenders today it's why we didn't win.

You're only seeing the final result not the details. Like I said, you pick players because of how likely they are to be effective going forward.

If we don't play Isak and Wilson together, it's not Isak who should be dropped because he's the better player.

Wilson played well today he saved our arses only a week ago.

Why in gods name would you take Wilson out on back of today? He was one of the only players that turned up.

He's a proper reliable player.... exactly what's required right now.

    1) Because Isak and Wilson partnership is not working

    2) If we're not playing both of these players together, I'd not be dropping Isak.

It has worked numerous times its actually why newcastle are still ahead of Liverpool...

Vs Fulham Wilson set up isak there's 3 points
Isak and Wilson linked up vs Brentford 3 points
Isak and Wilson linked up twice vs Southampton 3 points

The last two games newcastle conceded 4 goals.

This difference is though, Isak and Wilson didn't start together in those games, either Isak and Wilson came off the bench and I believe we were playing 4 attackers in those games, so Isak was drifting more towards the centre.

They've started together in 2 games - Arsenal and Leeds - And in both we couldn't score in open play.

Exactly they were losing or not winning.

Arsenal are better than newcastle Leeds played with 5 at the back Wilson scored twice.

It was defending and crap midfield today.

The only time Isak and Wilson playing together has been effective was when one of them was coming off the bench. We play 2 games in 4 days, we will rotate, and one of them is getting dropped.

Wilson or Isak - Which one would you drop and why?

They've been effective on the pitch together.

    I wouldn't drop either.

    I'd play the same side.

I might be wrong here. But the 3 we didn’t win Longstaff was absent.
