NC have substituted their goalkeeper for the shoot out... keeper saves 2...!! Bostock had the chance to win it... missed his penalty.. Harry Maguires brother came on for Chesterfield... scored his pen... Notts County win 4-3 on penalties... deserved...
That was a lot of drama for a penalty shoot out. Well done to Notts County - 107 league points probably meant they warranted promotion.

Did Diallo dive there or genuinely slip? It definitely wasn’t a pen but the referee also has to decide if it was simulation or not.
I think he started to fall and just went with it. Its frustrating to see and he deserved a booking in my view
He didn’t really appeal for it and it looked like he tried explaining to the ref that he slipped. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. The way refs in England handle fouls and simulation in the box needs changing imo. If you get fouled in the box but stay on your feet to try and create a scoring opportunity, the ref won’t pull it back for a pen. We saw that this season at the MKM when Connolly was fouled in the box but kept going so he could try to score. Ref didn’t pull it back. This just encourages diving.
