Bet he said all it all threw gritted teeth. More from the article The truth is that the teams at the top of the table have been building something for three, four, five seasons. If you look at Luton, they have had the core of their players together for about four years. You could say the same about Millwall and you could say the same about Coventry, those lads have been together.” He added: “Sunderland to a certain extent. What they’ve got is a young, hungry team that just want to go and get after everyone with no fear and don’t think about anything other than trying to win their next game. We’re not there yet."
I wonder if the Stoke Chairman had kidnapped Neil's family and he's towing the party line I might have watched too much 24 over the years
Moves to Sunderland because he doesn't want a team of kids. Explains to new employer after abject failure that he needs a team of kids. **** off you absolute ****ehawk.
I'm translating that as "please give me 4 years Mr Coates, please dont sack me as im going to build a young, hungry team that will go after everyone, exactly like the one i left to come here and join Stoke" Baldy little muppet.
He was great for us. But left as he's a greedy bastard,. And we ended up with a much, much better manager for the level, an expert at developing young players which was too much like hard work for Neil. So **** him!
It isn't because he left us that I have a dislike of him, it is the manner of his departure. We'll always remember the play-off final victory but instead of leaving amicably and keeping an iconic legacy status he went and pissed all over it. To see him sat at the Stoke match whilst still under contract here was totally unprofessional and a kick in the nuts for all connected with SAFC.
In a similar vein, **** Stoke too. Tapped up a manager under contract to another club, flashing the cash and offering more attractive (to him) responsibilities and accountabilites to lure him away at a time it could have cost us dearly. **** you Stoke, I hope the **** turns to disentery.
When AN left I was gutted and thought this could only happen to us,but every cloud has a silver lining and oh wow how good was ours, like a few others I wasn’t over excited when uncle Tony waltzed through the door but what a job him and his team have done for us,moulding those young lads into unit especially with the injuries we’ve along the way, so thanks AN for doing one but a bigger thanks to the Manager, staff, owners and the young team, 1 last push whatever happenes you’ve done us proud COME ON
I reckon, had he stayed, we would have seen a season with Wright in defence, o9 in midfield with Evans and Pritchard with zero game time given to the likes of Hume, Michut, Ba etc
“Sunderland to a certain extent. What they’ve got is a young, hungry team that just want to go and get after everyone with no fear and don’t think about anything other than trying to win their next game." Even that is a backhanded compliment. What he's saying is that Mowbray has little effect and it's all just reckless hopeful attacking football ... ... and an insult to a defence that's been excellent and stopped Burnley scoring at home. Our tactics and set up have changed almost every week ... ... the cheeky bastard.
The real test for Alex Niel will come next Season, IF he is still there. The current owners, Bet365, are sorting their Accounts out and If the transfer market is available to him he should get the chance to show what he can do. Could be an interesting watch.
I just think he can go and **** himself. You're never grateful to an ex because she was a good shag, you're just glad to see her gone because now she's someone elses problem
The Stoke fans don't want to trust him with the money. Half want him gone, the rest want hi to get a modest budget so he doesn't blow it for the next guy....
True, but there will be a marked difference in what he makes from his next job. Keeping Sunderland up in their first year, or failing to arrest or arguably accelerating Stoke's decline. Back to League One for you, Alex.
To be fair he's already shown what he can do with established Championship players. He won't be able to replace the whole team, in the summer, so will have to do better with what he has. His tactics won't change because he's set in his ways and he has a big job convincing the supporters. Mowbray inherited a team, just as Neil did, the players love him, he's converted the fans and we're in the playoffs ... ... Neil only just matched Huddersfield and Warnock
I think the secret ingredient to our team this season is the youngsters we have are absolute ballers and used to playing in under 21 games with a bit time on the bench in the first team for a cup game. Now they've been let loose in the first team of let's say it, a "biggish club" that's caused a buzz on Netflix and playing with absolute freedom with zero fear because the freedom and fear hasn't been coached out of them yet. I believe only Mowbray could've tapped into that.
