If all goes to plan I get a call at 8am for PNE hospitality ticket. It is touch and go, but I have everything crossed. If I am it will amongst PNE players family, god help them . Some loon from Weardale guzzling pints and treating food like a takeaway side order of salad no bugger wants.
I am still up, had a couple of malts, but being good(ish). Bed for me in a bit. If I dont get there I will be there in spirit, like everyone else. Epic day tomorrow and I really have a good feeling.
Sitting watching the 1973 final with my son and a nice glass of rum ... ... everything planned for tomorrow, can't wait. What a day this is going to be.
Big day tomorrow. Whatever happens, and however it turns out I'm proud of these boys. For all of you turning out tomorrow, enjoy the day and I hope we are all celebrating come 5pm Ha'way the ****ing lads
Given up trying to sleep, proper cup final feel about today, 3 o’clock feels so far away but I really fancy boro to turn up and do us a favour today, 0-2 Clarke and a late Amad stunner to wrap it up
Morning lads how goes it? I’m sitting here taking in all the social media postings of us nervous, excited and hopeful Sunderland fans whilst listening to my Sunderland playlist please log in to view this image
Love it. Morning Tony. Same as everyone else... I've been up since 5.15. Nervous but very hopeful. I've gotta good feeling about today.
Strangely, not nervous. What will be, will be! I reckon, this season, newly promoted from purgatory but on the final match of the season.... with all the injuries having ripped the spine of the team out... to be in with a shout of a play-off spot... is success for me. Although come 3.00pm, I am sure I 'will be having kittens' watching us play and checking on other vital games.
To all attending today - give it all as l know you will. Pity it’s not St. Crispins Day ‘Once more unto the breach, dear friends once more’. ️
Can’t be there myself today but safe travels to the 5k lovely people who are. We are all right with you and the lads.
Up since 6.30 and starting to get ready to travel from Mansfield, quite a few going from the Notts area ... ... it'll be a fun day for Preston if we batter them,, Boro beat Coventry and their friends Blackburn replace Millwall. Never mind, whatever happens our players and supporters will celebrate at the end. Without ever forcing the issue it's obvious there's now a real bond and it's a massive change. There was a rime, around the Moyes era, when we almost hated the club. This is all like a dream that even defeat today can't break.
