Okay, so no points from this game, but nobody in their right mind would have anticipated us getting anything. At lest we made a game of it and hopefully it might restore some confidence to our players. Wish they had appointed BIg Sam instead of Gracia. We'd be safely in mid table by now.

Important goal from Rodrigo because if Everton get a draw at Brighton they’ll still be below us on goals scored.

That is so much more than I expected. I just hope they can take this performance and build on it and find those precious points.

Mondays fixtures are huge and our goal difference didn’t take a battering. A big plus

If we’d had Sam after Marsch who knows where we’d be

much much better performance, particularly in the second half, and we all know how we have imploded recently in the last 45 min, actually gave city a game in the end. Players seemed to actually know their roles, looked more organised in that 90 min than the past twenty matches. Sam has only had a few days but i was impressed. we won't be up against city every week so although a loss today, i think we are in for a couple of positive results.

Agreed. Unlike some, he is capable of getting a shot on target.

Fair play to big Sam for tellling the players to acknowledge the fans not that he should but don't pick Bamford and you'll have my full support you fat ****

A lot higher in the table. We would have beaten Bournemouth and Palace

    Alot of positives in that.

We knew we would be outclassed and City would get plenty of chances.

Robles was much better than Meslier.

The defence looked more compact and defended narrow. They put their bodies on the line. Same old suspects in Firpo and Struijk causing problems for us.

Midfield were more intense and had good workrate. We still don't track runners great but it was much much better despite being hopelessly outclassed.

Bamford was awful but when he did manage to hold it up we looked dangerous on the counter.

The major thing today is that it will have instilled a bit of confidence and belief back in to the players and the response from the fans was great too. We might just be on to something here, just hope it's not too late.

If we can replicate or even improve on it next few weeks then it will be incredibly unlucky if we don't pick up any points.
