As I've said before, I've given up on Southampton. After watching what was such a gutless performance from them against Bournemouth last week, I am backing them to lose every game they have left this season.

I know Saints fans love their club but, deep down, I think they will probably agree with me.

    I'm going for a 2-0 Forest win.

But if we could somehow keep it to 0-0 after 75 mins, I'd be interested to see how desperate Forest become. Will they just throw everything at it, even at the risk of losing.

We will win which means Forest will be down with us and one of Leeds/Everton will survive which would be a nightmare

I'm almost at a point where if it meant both Everton and Leeds dropped with us, I'd take the defeat at Forest. Almost, but not quite. We win and it's possible we will be only three points behind Leicester, Leeds and Forest. I know we're as good as down but I still can't want us to lose in this situation.

They will do what we don’t: battle for survival.

There is a scenario where by Monday 15th May, we are above Everton and Forest and on level points with the latter, Leeds and Leicester with two games still to go. Criminal that we are still not out of reach given how we've been playing! It is though far more likely that three of the four clubs above us (not including Forest) lose their next two games than we win ours.

I hope Ballard at least makes the bench, to show the pathway to the first team is still there.

I don't get how Edozie has completely gone off the radar under Ruben, he was one of the very few who looked dangerous when he ran at and committed the oppo's defence.

Oh I agree, and Ely is starting nearly every game? Baffling.

Can't have people running. Selles wouldn't stand for that - it would require people putting in effort.

Much better to have people conserving their energy by just passing sideways and backwards. And then getting subbed off after 60 mins anyway.

To be honest, and I think I’m in the minority here, but I wasn’t impressed by Edozie in the appearances he had at all. I didn’t see much, if any, intelligence to his play.

Being really fast and just going at the full back constantly is pretty redundant for as long as you have no idea what to actually do with the ball in the final third once you’ve beaten the defender.

That said, I think he could be one of the ‘winners’ out of us getting relegated and if he puts some end product together next year he’ll be a lot of fun in a lower division.

You’re right that he has shown little end product, but his ability on the ball is outrageous. His close control and ability to beat a man is ridiculous.

Definitely a better option than Adam Armstrong and Elyounoussi

Not really. He's quick, which enables him to get past defenders and that's pretty much it TBH. He's a better option than those two but that's a very low bar. I wouldn't call his ability on the ball outrageous. If it was he would be able to find an end product of some sort.

Behave. He literally ghosts past people. There is a reason why we took a gamble on him IMO.

Yes, mainly due to his pace. He has talent but he hasn't been outrageous on the ball.
